Ive seen it several times now over the years watching Tony play when you're watching one of his videos and he's behind two games to win a set with only 10 minutes left of the video he can win 3 game in a row within 10 minutes lol so whenever you guys watch him don't go by the time that's left for any game hes in
When Kenny explained to Tony the series of events that put him at two fouls, and finally Tony shook his head yes, my thought was that he was probably thinking, "Yeah, I remember it now, thanks LOADS for reminding me". That sequence was kind of brutal. Bad enough that it happened twice, let alone twice in a row. I think I might understand why Scott made the comment in a one pocket match he commentated yesterday about where and how to break when that ball starts sneaking out for the kiss, or at least why it may have been on his mind. At least he didn't get the scratch, which is why Scott made the comment on that match. And then Tony, on the next break (I wrote the above earlier) did exactly what Scott was talking about, or more accurately, didn't do it. That was a spectacular game buy Tony, that second one. If you combined banks with one pocket (negate the other five pockets), Tony would be kicking butt here. That would be a brutal game, BTW. It would be like pyramid, a game for masochists, and/or people that just like to bitch. I think Tony FULLY realized that ten was going in out of the stack, from that combo/carom. I backed up and looked at what i could see of his assessment after the comment Mark made about "kissed twice, blah blah blah", and it looks to me like he actually lined up that carom with his cue, at one point. Now if Billy meant that he didn't see it previously, that I would be forced to agree with that part. Mark obviously didn't have the capability to go back and look at the assessment, but if he did, I think he would agree. That was my take, anyway. Having not one iota of ESP, that's about the best I can do. :-) I tt looked to me like the 6 got kissed after the 10 strike, but then the 10 did come off the five, so who knows. There IS also a kiss on the ten after the strike from the five, so if Tony did work all that out, he is truly a complex shot assessment GOD, though, so there's that, too. How's that for qualifying a statement ten ways from Sunday? Maybe Mark was right, actually. Good eyes. And yeah, I miss Danny, always good for a few good laughs. Those extended one pocket rules are NUTS, but somebody seems to have thought them through pretty well, a lot better than I would have. You guys said those up table long games do not come up that often, which is obviously true, but throw Tony into the mix, and the probability of that happening REALLY goes down! Fun match.
Am I mistaken - - @ 32:20, Mr. T-Rex breaks and scratches on the break. ( I believe that means a rerack ), @ 33:20, Mr. Freezer is placing a 'ball in hand' to continue the set while Mr. Ken is at the table. after the shot Mr. Wilson mentions "Oh by the way, a scratch on the break is a RERACK' - - Did I miss something? Which is it? Anyone else notice this?
@@AccuStats Thanks for your reply - At 33:32 Mark says " another rule too, is if you pocket a ball on the break, we just start the rack over" However the next shot is not a rerack by T-Rex, but Mr. Frost has "ball in hand" to continue the rack.( 33:55)
@@elcid1656 The rule Mark is referring to does not apply if the cue ball scratches on the break. It only applies if an object ball is pocketed on the break. The break is already a fairly large advantage in one pocket, they don't want to add in the luck factor of fluking a ball in on the break, too (Or someone figuring out how to do it consistently and every rack just becomes an 8 ball run from the break). Whereas with the cue ball scratching, that's human error. The game resumes as normal.
At 45:40 Scot banks a ball and Billy said he missed by two diamonds, was wondering what he was trying to do. I think Scott was using inside spin to hold it, causing the cue ball to deflect.
@1:15:00 Billy was SPOT ON! _He's looking for sympathy. He thinks [Tony] should've scratched there._ (I used to think flying the CB off the table had risks, but in 20 years, never once. Bad rule to change).
In Stephen Markley’s The Deluge, the character Ash opines that what some view as the worst news/events may actually be what is required to breach the social tipping point that will force people to begin acting as though the reality in which they find themselves demands action. Capitalism is a suicide pact. It is based on the false assumption that Nature, the ecosphere/atmosphere/biosphere within which we live, and upon which we rely for our very existence, is an ‘externality’… that Nature has value only when monetized. A forest has no value until it is turned into lumber… Clear rivers flowing unimpeded to the sea have no value… until dammed and, thus, monetized. There is no value in wetlands; they should be (how did Joni put it?) paved and converted to parking lots. There is no value whatsoever to a spectacular sunset (unless one can take pictures of it and start an online channel where it’s then possible to monetize images of Nature) One cannot tech one’s way out of a situation one tech’d oneself into. Einstein once said there were only two things that were infinite: the Universe and human stupidity. And he wasn’t so sure about the Universe…
Zeroing out fouls is just another stupid and kindergarten rule that they've added to One Pocket at the DCC. This isn't supposed to be a fast paced game. Not even worth watching.
I don’t like the rule, either, but this is still fun to watch. I think it’s because the Derby tries to jam too many matches into too short a time. They should spread it out a little more.
I think they should cap the number of entries, too. The last two years has been a total scheduling disaster due to allowing too many entries. This coming year they’re extending the event a day to try to alleviate the scheduling problems. The past two years the players left at the end of the one pocket tourneys played as much as 20 hours straight. How can you expect the players best under those conditions. Promoters have turned it into an endurance event. Wasn’t like that when Greg Sullivan ran things. Guys that run it now are too greedy.
It's a joy watching 2 great one pocket players go shot to shot. I really enjoy matches like this.
A real treat to have Billy on again
loved watching Billy play one pocket and 9 ball at Chicago Billiard Cafe and Chris's through the 90's with his Cognoscenti cue.
I had a Joey Gold and relinquishing it was a huge mistake-lol-

Thats funny man i always base mostly off time left in video haha
Two of the best going all out
Grady and Billy were the best combo, for one hole, so much knowledge of the game, and the friendly put downs at each other, funny stuff it was!😂
Nice game, nice coverage.
GREAT match!
Thank you for the Game
.Billy the most knowledgeable and Mark the most articulate.makes for a entertaining commentary
Two entertaining players!
At 31:22 my boy Mark giving Scott some tips on what to shoot lol
I hope he listens 😊

I think that what Mark Wilson is referring to is that making a ball on the break results in a re-rack.

lag timing a bit questionable? i mean - waiting for opponent ball to hit rail is ALOT of info
Question, What's a 'Nit'?
58:07 what's he spotting a ball from the side of the table for? look at how far off center it was.
Billy is playing old school one hole these two defy the odds

Excellent banking by Scott
Great game
What's with the scorekeeping ?
What part are you confused about?
@@Dancindazed Not anymore thanx, saw it.
At 33:50 right before that Tony brakes racks the balls behind the spot? 😂
No, he breaks ok" when everything is going his way he breaks great
Ronnie Allen catching strays
Scott Frost is 48? Holy shit did he serve in the oval office? He looks more like 58.
Scott Frost is too knowledgeable to beat
😂
Scott messed up that first game when he didn’t leave Tony frozen in the stack Player like Tony leave them frozen on balls
👁️👁️hello again
We don’t like the new rules
Go blue!
The intro looks like a cheesy video from the 1980s.
Too bad for Scott. It was his match.
Hard to beat tony
Why does this guy comment on Tony's "health issues" nearly every time he opens his mouth? ENOUGH!!!
Billy has to be so negative
He just knows Scotts a loser
Scott’s girl gives the best head ever

So many scratches off the break...unreal
