Really is a great route (helps with a train station at either end as well!) Might be tempted to do in reverse next time though 😂

Respect for doing this solo! Looking at The Cairngorm Ultra for next years challenge. I think it's the same route but an organised event.

Cheers, was great fun (retrospective pleasure ;-)) weather helped to. Think the ultra start in Braemar, so first half different but the run in the same, although probably the best bit!

How did you get to Blair Atholl after you left the car at Aviemore?

Direct train, although not that regular thus leaving the car there to get back after the run rather than having to wait round for ages
