The difference between Australian and American unboxing is that the Aussie uses a key while American uses some fancy and expensive Damascus tactical EDC knife to cut the tape to open the box. 😏
This made me laugh and almost stumble when reading it on the street hahaha I'm pinning this
@@Stridewise lol nice to see your humour appreciated. Cheers mate. 😁
It’s only a matter of time until this channel blows up.
Yesss I agree
Great video as always! Your sense of humor has really started to shine through in your videos
Oh thanks Graham! That's meaningful
Yeyeye definitely more confident and way more personality!! Ever since “the calf becomes boots for his first birthday”
@@dorcohen9808 Dude I love this hahaha! I worry about personality putting people off, you can't win in this space
Wow what a STACKED line up. Bradley Mountain is my fav by far. Their camo wool lined jacket is INCREDIBLE! Seriously one of the coolest looking jackets I’ve seen in a while
They're really legit. You absolutely can't wear that backpack with shorts but in a solid heritage outfit, by crikey it's a beauty
Damn good to see you here
@@Stridewise taft boots, waxed backpack, 4 inch salmon shorts
@@yifanzheng1999 YIFAN!!! Who doesn’t watch stridewise
Great video as always mate, good to know that you are being honest with what has been gifted and what’s been bought. Some awesome bits you have inherited too!
I picked up a RGT supply jacket in stealth a few months ago. It’s been sitting in my closet. Looks like this week will be warm enough to put it out 🙌
Nick, you never disappoint.... Great content 🎉
Sazrul i'll remember this comment for a long time, thank you
Love my Dryden, been using it as my EDC bag for nearly 6 months. I beat the crap out of it between camping, travel, and work.
Wow Nick, this was like Christmas PLUS! What a lot of great stuff all in one video, looking forward to some upcoming in depth reviews. That was a nice gift you gave Jake, hope he is doing well. Thanks.
I thought it was a cool gift too Frank haha thanks!
NICK! I'm so excited for the Ridgeline jacket review. My ridgeline has aged so well, can't wait to see how yours turns out!
It's too cold to wear it now sadly!
@@Stridewise not with that attitude... 😂
@Emad Saghir ha OK Emad I'll wear it tomorrow!
Nice to see all the great items you are adding to your wardrobe. I think the coolest piece is the James Bond jacket. I’ll be looking for the review on that beautiful outerwear. Good job on the video Nick...Ed.
Ed I was just talking about you with the Iron Snail, you should check out his channel! Always delightful to see you in the comments. I'll have to time the Bond review with the movie coming out!
Thank you 👍.
Interested to hear your opinion on the Wilcox boot. I bought their Kern model.I was looking for an affordable wedge sole boot with a good list of features. I'm curious to hear what you think about the sizing since you have a more "normal" D width typically. They say their stuff is all in E width. I wear 7.5EEE in Higgins mills, measure something close to an 8EE when I follow the directions on a Brannock device. I bought a size 8 and after taking out the insole they seem to work fine.
Another good video mate, I like the opening presents theme
Oh thanks! Haha I have 6 packages waiting to be opened now, maybe I should film another one
@@Stridewise definitely
Great unboxing :)
Thank you, it's my first!
I'd love to see an in-depth review of the Postman Éclair. Bleu de Chauffe is one of those incredible artisan European brands that doesn't really seem to have entered mainstream consciousness in North America.
You deserve the freebies bro love the jacket and blur bag
Nice video! Would love to see a comparison of the Tom Beckbe and Filson Packer coat. Same with the Rouge Territory and Filson lined tin cloth jacket.
Yes I'll have to get the Filson Tin Cloth jacket David, I've been doing a bit too much Filson lately but I loooove them so
In light of your fondness for waxed jackets, have you ever tried the Rogue WX jacket by Triple Aught Design?
I’m a huge Henley fan. Try Marine Layer 🤩
You deserve it! High five my friend
Thanks for the shoutout, brother!
Nice one mate. Been eyeing up the RGT supply jacket for a while, went the Explorer jacket over it but the sleeves on it were a bit small. The supply looks nice and long. How is the fit? What size and what are you usually?
I'm 6 feet, normally I'm a large and the one in the video is a large but I actually exchanged it for an XL! They're famously small these jackets :)
the blue bag looks cool
Isn't it fun
So Nick. On that RGT jacket, do I go with the lined or unlined? Can you feel the wax on the inside? If so, I'm going lined for sure. Thanks my man!
Awesome goodies‼️ I bought a 380.00 USD pair of Black Danner Mountain Light II Boots just because Daniel Craig ( best Bond Ever, not even close) wore them in the Austrian Alps in SPECTRE. Still have them in like new condition as I much prefer my black 8115 Iron Rangers that Brian The Bootmaker rebuilt from the footbed down and much cooler than the Danners even though Bond didn’t wear them😎👍
That rogue territory jacket is nice.
Hell yeah
I have 1 denim jacket from RGT. That too runs a bit small. Same with Tylor Stitch; I have a blue flannel form them
100%, i actually exchanged this one for an XL
I own the Bradley Mountain Biographer backpack and I absolutely love it! Ended up getting their Field Tan Cabin Jacket, which is the same color in person as my coyote brown shirts for my OCP uniform. I wasn’t sure how to feel about that at first if I’m being honest lol
Haha! Yeah I almost got the Biographer but the Wilder is their signature bag so I got that one, glad I did! Everything canvas is olive or khaki colored in this world, right Kevin?
@@Stridewise definitely lol I often get “wow you always wear that!” No, I just have many things that admittedly look similar 😅
DO YOU HAVE ANY REVIEWS FILSON 24 hr tin cloth briefcase. It comes with a cotton strap you can order a leather one.is the fabric the same as Journeymen. Thanks
The white wool boots look amazing, but damn you must have to be careful in those. 30 minutes walking around NY and I'd mess them up so bad.
Haha I've been a bit scared to wear them while it's been snowing
Nick, what are your thoughts on winter session bags? The day bag looks good.
Anyway, keep the videos coming!
Thanks man! I mention Winter Session in my next video actually, they're pretty damn cool! Cons are they look a little like a schoolbag but pros is they're very minimalist, plus great quality
hey there, i have an idea for a video (basically a video id like you to do but that actually could help others too). a video on how to build a basic wardrobe (lets say 15 pieces) in your style (i identify it as Rugged). where you would give 2 options, one regular and one cheap. for example, your normal Henley and X color and then point to a cheaper option, this way you would cover a large spectrum.
basically i want to build a wardrobe in your style but i invested on boots so all the rest would have to be cheap :P but still think it would be an interesting video. btw, im portuguese and bought the Urban Shepherds after watching your video about a month ago
Hi Nick, could you please do a video on the Rogue Territory jacket specifically please, including a size guide? Thanks
that's the plan!
@@Stridewise awesome! Thanks
We do love hunting!
That's a relief Jonathan!
sweet video! what jacket were you wearing when you had the bradely mountain backpack on? looked like a nice leather jacket!
That one is Thursday's Flight Jacket, Michael! I don't know if they still make it, Satchel & Page have one that's real similar
@@Stridewise Thank you so much! you should do more leather jacket reviews. love your videos!
I got into heritage style gear a year ago. I’m looking for a jacket. Bought a Hamilton watch at your recommendation and love it. Will look into these other brands.
Good choice! I'm glad I fell into heritage stuff too. Cool but understated and longlasting and masculine, what's not to like? Oh, right, the price. Well, besides that ;)
@@Stridewise Yeah the price is killing me too haha! Still it evens out from paying for new things every year like I was before.
Could someone please let me know the details of bicycle poster in the background.
More interested in the b3 jacket
Hey, I'm 5'10" with a 43.5 chest. What size of the RGT do you recommend? I'm leaning more towards XL.
Hmmmm. That's basically my measurements but 2" shorter. Try XL.
10:10 I have that backpack, and I love it!! Certainly NOT cheap but well worth the investment.
Oh great! I'm pumped for the review
Nick, pls do a video review on those Wilcox boots. Their marketing has blown up my Facebook and im curious about them.
I don't know man they're just so nondescript I don't know if I want to go to all that effort haha
14:01 The one and only wink.
Luv the vids man 🔥 embrace the haters! Apparently u must trigger some ppl 😂
Nah everyone on UA-cam gets these comments I just post mine to Instagram because I think they're funny lol
I have the lined version of the RGT jacket 💯💥 Hope you enjoy it 👊
Very cool! Almost got that but decided I should get the most popular version!
This backpack kills everything. Sadly, jackets and bags (backpacks) are always attracted to me. Can't say why
Must be those big lats
What about those leather jackets from Thursday boot co?
I'm not super well versed on leather jackets but I like mine :)
Hey what size for the rogue territory supply jacket if im 6ft 200lbs?
Really hard question. Im stuck between L and XL and I'm 6ft 190lb. I guess I'd say go with XL though!
@@Stridewise and the large for you fits nice? Does it stretch out a bit as it breaks in? Do you find it more of a fall jacket or can you use it in the spring? Thanks !
Hey, may I ask your chest size? I am 44cm and have the XL tan RGT jacket. Looking to get one in Denim and wondered if I could size down to L. Thanks.
I'm 44 as well! But honestly I can NOT decide what size RGT jacket to get, it's brutal. I'm constantly going back and forth on it and don't feel confident giving a rec. The take home is the jackets are slim so it's more about body type, I think
@@Stridewise Thank you buddy - Same dilemma - made even worse that the denim has different sizing to the wax canvas. I appreciate the ladies feel like they go through a lot to look good but they don't know our struggle :)
The rogue territory jacket. What size is it, and how tall are you?
I'm 6 feet, it's a large, and I actually exchanged it for an XL :)
@@Stridewise and you said its a slim fit?
What's the watch your wearing ?
This one! amzn.to/3beDO0U
Daniel Craig wears a Barbour X To Ki To Beacon Heritage Sports Jacket in the movie Skyfall.
You don't get more heritage or outdoorsy than Barbour?
Where is your office? Is that a wework type of rental?
Yup!
checkout the henleys from pike brothers they are the best
I am not a hunter. But I do like hunting inspired clothing!
Great!
Love it
plzz check out rail car fine goods waxed chore coat
Nick, help those of us who have been looking for old school Jodhpur pants. Can't find any! Tom Beckbe..hunting.. Jodhpur pants... hello, pls?
Ouf not my specialty sorry man
Why would someone ever go to WV?😁
Nick please do a review of boots from high fashion brands like Gucci and Armani. Would be nice to see how they hold up against Whites' or Vibergs.
Hey Nick, how about you send me one of those waxed jackets
how about no
@@Stridewise dammit
@@charlesbronson240 lolol love you dude
Nick hand in your man card immediately!
Bro you make whiney insecure comments on all my videos, why are you so obsessed with me
First Time I seen a "COLA SPORTS WATCH". I know the Pepsi and Coke GMT. But Never the COLA
Are you talking about my watch? It's a Tag Heuer Formula 1
@@Stridewise It was a watch featured on a web site in the video. Whilst he was browsing.
White boots no good.
Are you obligated to review something that you get sent? Or are there instances where you opt not say anything rather than to say something disparaging?
Nah I can say whatever I want. I probably won't review the Wilcox boots to be honest, they got in touch and sent them to me but there's not really enough public interest to justify reviewing such a generic boot lol
Bro, honestly. As much as I enjoy your channel.... Get a proper knife for opening boxes, for crying out loud!
Does it really matter if the box opened, though
@@Stridewise Well, you are so quality conscious, get a good knife. It will go along well with your gear and show an eye for detail. Be a Connoisseur (old frensh spelling)
Bradley Mountain looks great but man way overpriced
Yeah I mean it's way thicker and beefier and bigger than Filson so dollar for dollar it's better value... but of course many just don't want a bag that burly!
Accepting gifts really discredits you as a reviewer. It ruins your integrity to conscious viewers. Although a lot will support you as a personality and ignore the obvious bias. They sway your opinion on the subconscious level. I would suggest refusing gifts in the future.
It's interesting because I think I'm *less* attached to a product if I didn't pay for it versus spending hours working for the money to buy it, you know? If I pay for it then I really want it to be worth it, whereas I don't really care if it's good or not if I got it for free.
@@Stridewise That's a refreshing outlook on it. You just may be the N of 1 that proves the rule.
Hipsters like this dude have ruined Brooklyn, N.Y.
Trolling is hard.
Joke's on you I live in Manhattan
