I gave up on Vex vs Lissandra. Her having no spells, makes Lissandra so painful. Spells are slow usually, she doesn't synergize with drain spells, lacks fearsome blockers, struggles vs big units, struggles vs tough units, starting deck struggles vs wide boards, and so much more. Devs destroyed Vex with 2 star change, and often her 1 and 3 star power are not active. Truly hate the change.
To be fair here, i thought about the old 2* power and i have to admit, it would have been kinda powerful. Not from the start, its basicaly just enfeebling strike at the beginning. But once you have vex on the board, her level condition with the old 2* power would be rly easy to achieve and after you level her, you basicaly always would deal double dmg, like on every dmg you do (spells, skills, units attacking and blocking). Idk if thats why they nerfed it, bc they thought that is too op, but thats the only reason i can think off why they might have nerfed it. But i stil agree that they nerfed her to hard without adjusting anything to balance it out
I dont like that they didnt give her some more spells after they decided to change her 2nd star power. I understand that they had to nerf her bc her passive giving 2x gloom would make even normal attacks/blocks rly damn powerful. But they rly could have given her more spells
Vex really feels like a “Constellations champion.” I think she was designed around the fact that you could grow her to star level 6. I could see her star level 4 being “Grant all enemies Gloom and then boost them.” Maybe Riot thought she would be fine at 3 stars.
One interesting fact with vex is her interaction with fury, since she double gloom when leveled every time an enemy die in any way to gloom she gain +1/+1 wich is very good in long games.
Rising Light boosts all UNITS (not just enemies) 3 times. Makes it even better with the stackable buffs a few of the cards she has. (Also please update your Veigar guide as it is missing things like support champs being one of your early vids). Great guides and yes they do make the day a bit better. Impressed you avoid negativity with some of your runs when luck really has it out for you and you manage just to roll with it. So awesome job.
When I played her in the 3.5 stars Galio adventure, I chose Veigar as a support champion. I got *very* disappointed when I saw that I couldn't level up Veigar
Im newish to to the game. Only just found it recently. I loved the look of this mechanic, but the deck is so underpowered and underperforms so much. Im drastically dissappinted, looks like such a fun char in theory. By the way, thanks for all your vids man. Takes some time and some serious intellligence to know the game like this. Its really helped a noob in a threatingly large pool of champs to go for.
I don't understand why they chose "Conchologist" instead of "Existential Dread" to put in Vex PoC deck... It's literally the perfect card for her! Although, with her 2 star power, I think "Withering Wail" would be far more useful
Thanks a lot for this guide. Vex was the champion I was the most excited about and I upgraded her first to 2 stars using all my wild fragments before noticing the change in her star powers... Now I randomly unlocked the axe and was getting very frustrated with her so I thought maybe I wasn't having the right approach. Now I see that she's just way weaker than Lux 2
Probably because of the lack of gloom cards. Instead, they could've just focus on spells in her base deck. Withering Wail would be a perfect card for her imo
I think what they did initially with having ALL creature damage dealt as Gloom would be too much (I'm also possibly traumatised from Infect in Magic the Gathering), but even just giving your units the ability to apply 1 gloom when they damage an enemy would be a huge improvement.
I said it on the discord and I'll say it here, they messed up hard by making Vex at 3* a 0.5* champion basically, absolutely disappointed in Riot yet again
Man i am really dissapointed with vex performance, she was the champion that I wanted more of the 3 and she just feels bad to use. Hope they buff her on the future.
Hey, so I understand why the big Builds For Every Champion videos are pretty rare, because they're really labor-intensive, and often involve repetition of a lot of ideas that work across many champions. Would you ever consider a re-formatted version of the concept that is organized by relic combinations instead of by champion? Like a breakdown of your favorite relic builds, with a list of the champions they each work well on? I feel like that might be somewhat less labor-intensive, and if nothing else, a novel way to put such a video together.
I had ice shards once which is also pretty good as it's cheaper and fast. I also defeated the 3.5 star adventure as a 2 star level 12 Vex soooo... I feel like he's really good outside ASol

If we go by Toast's theory, the 2* power is what one of the new powers in the constellation powers for Vex.

You forgot to mention spell don’t count as damage so you can’t level up Swain and Veigar.

I dont get it, Yasuo and Morgana's base decks have plenty of good suport cards that sinergize with their powers, why did Riot do Vex so dirty?

I beat Asol with axe, payload, and ggc. Sad you need payload to get a grip full of damaging spells, but once she gets going, she’s a blast.
