This song hits so hard!!! Who still rocking Prince???? 2023-2024💜💜💜💜 I miss him so much!!! 🙏🏽💪🏽🙏🏽
Yes Indeed 😢
I will miss him, until I see him in Heaven 💜🕊

I'm 4ever rockin' Prince - Feb 2024
He's the ONLY man that could pull this shit off!!!!
Lmao hell naw ...but u ain't lying Prince the man
Gotta say... David Bowie did it in his own style in the previous decade, but yeah, both were absolute trendsetting musical geniuses... ;)
nah multiple men have pulled off the androgynous look, prince just did it the best
@@xokhaliah like who? Before him? Little Richard, maybe?
@@Obese_QUIS the entire black lgbt community who created the blueprint for gender fluidity and being eccentric decades ago. Prince has my favorite androgynous look tho
Prince didn't give a damn!!!
When you're the best musician the Earth has ever seen, you don't need to give one hot damn!...
In my humble opinion, this version of The Revolution, was the absolute best. Prince vocals with Dez and Andre were awesome. Just my opinion.
Absolutely right
His best band in my opinion
On God 🙏🏿
No doubt.
Dirty Mind is a milestone and maybe Prince's most important album
you hit the nail right on the head!
Almost. 1999, maybe number 1. Dirty mind made them pay attention. Quick story. I introduced the Controversy album to an 11 year old relative. I was 13 at the time. I told him this artist would be considered the greatest at one point in history. 40 years later, at a reunion ( I haven't seen him since we were that young), he remembered and pulled over to the side and thanked me for changing his life musically for introducing him to Prince. True story!
1999 was my first album that I bought with pocket money, so 1999 will always be a special album for me. Dirty mind is the rawest and wildest album imo and it was a revolution before the Revolution.
Prince, Dirty Mind, Controversy, and 1999; those four albums will forever be “Prince” in my mind. He could have stopped there and still been a music legend.
Well said
P rain turned him mainstream
Still just a wow artist in EVERY WAY
I would say the mainstream came to him with Purple Rain. That album was just as innovative and different as any of his other albums.
The mainstream just got on board.
exactly Prince was at his peak from 79-84
If I had to pick just two desert island Prince albums I'd take Dirty Mind and Sign O the Times.
I would somehow agree with u even though I don't want to miss SOTT and NPG Exodus and many more
My mom used to play this all the time. Thanks mom for introducing me to Prince.... RIP MOM!!!!
my mom did the same!! love her.. Sorry for your loss.
You had a cool Ass mom!
QUANNAH LEVERETT your mom is very WISE! woman!

Straight old school Prince, us old heads remember this.
Yes
😜
@Katherine Schneider Welcome 😁
Absolutely
Yeah, back when the only way to catch a Prince song was on AM radio., at least where I lived. Lol. I’m definitely not old tho.
Best artist ever 4 ever rest in PRINCE 😢❤❤❤
this album is basically the reason why parental advisory exist.
So bold, so brave, we love u Prince
i think it was darling nikki
@@Qasim_____ no bro this was the first album ever from prince or any other artists I knew that had a parental advisory sticker on the cover
@@thepromiseman7745 nope it was darling Nikki check it out. ). "Though the song was not released as a single, it gained wide notoriety for its sexual lyrics-in particular an explicit reference to female masturbation-and was responsible for the creation of the infamous Parental Advisory sticker. The song tells the story of a "sex fiend" named Nikki who seduces the singer" that's wiki. Google it there's nothing saying dirty mind created parental advisory.
@@thepromiseman7745 after it was released then they gave it parental advisory. They had meeting riaa in 1985 bout it n created the sticker back then.
@@Qasim_____ I find that it interesting that the Parental Advisory label was made because of one Prince song and yet he had more sexually explicit themed albums prior. Dirty Mind deserved a Parental Advisory sticker🤣 but I guess since P wasn't really mainstream at the time he got away with it
I am Rock N Roll & this ROCKS!!!
Still rocking with Prince in 2024. Been a huge fan of his since 1980. Went to 4 NYC concerts of his pre-Purple Rain and after. He was an electrifying performer. The best I've ever seen. He was also a brilliant musician, singer/songwriter, and truth teller. I still miss him very much! 💜💜
My favorite Prince album. I can't get enough of it. 78-84 will always be my favorite Prince era
+PaisleyParkFan Mine too! I LOVE Prince--period! But, I'm a fan of his _early_ music. It's the music I came of age to. However, I've discovered _new_ music since his passing that I've come to love too.
PaisleyParkFan I agree! His music was so innovative and passionate!!
I definitely concur that the era you mentioned was when Prince was at his artistic peak...
"Dirty Mind" is my extremely close second favourite to "Sign O' The Times".
Gary Cheshire I agree with this. It'd go
1. Sign O The Times (maybe not my favorite but it is his artistic peak. It is the best)
2. Dirty Mind (my favorite as far as cohesion)
3. 1999 (Very synthetic, alien, and funky. I can't articulate the brilliance of this record. The only thing that bring it down are some overlong songs in the second half that don't warrant their length. Why are DMSR and Automatic over 5 minutes? Lady Cab Driver is immaculate however)
4. Purple Rain (Classic record. Probably his stylistic second or third best but it's lower for me because it is slightly overplayed)
5. Controversy (Love the record. Sounds like a stopgap between Dirty Mind and 1999. Still has classic songs like the title track, Do Me Baby, Lets Work, and Jack U Off)
6. Prince (Probably the most underrated Prince record. He hasn't quite become the funk rock superstar he would become but that doesn't detract from mostly classic cuts on here. See: I Wanna Be Your Lover, Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?, Sexy Dancer, I Feel For You, Its Gonna Be Lonely)
7. Parade (A near classic. A very elegant and stylish record. Not much really stands out besides some essential cuts like Girls and Boys and New Position. It's so ethereal and airy. It also has Kiss on it)
8. For You (Very vanilla and clean compared to the life he would imbue his later material with. Still an interesting listen considering his age when he made it
9. Around The World In A Day (Never really understood this one. It still has Raspberry Beret and Pop Life on it.)
I quit my first job ever because they wouldn't give me the night off to go to this concert with my friends. One of the best decisions I have ever made.
Fuck yeah! No question about it - easy decision!!
Good decision
Bit to leisurely if you ask me
@@user-gp5xk9lc3fIt's always a hater who ruins it for everyone else!!! STFU AND GO AWAY!!!

Prince was so comfortable in his skin.
I wouldn't go so far. Why was he in high heels all the time?
You can say that again. That is real freedom....lol!
And that’s part of why everyone loved him. He was so confident in himself. He also never changed the integrity of himself or his music to please anyone. He was just himself, love him or hate him. His confidence is contagious! When you listen to Prince you just feel like you can chase your dreams! His confidence definitely shined through his music. His originality is what made him one of the best musicians! He had the music in his heart and wanted the world to hear what he felt in his heart. He never compromised himself to become a star. He became a star, because he never compromised himself
latenightnap no
tlig Do you not know that high heels were originally invented for men, not women??
He was so bold. he refused to conform to what was expected from black artists, a lesson to us all, be who you are and want to be, not what society expects you to be.
Prince was the epitome of the 1980s. Rockstar
Its why I love him.

PRINCE was the man. What a great talent. I'll see him in the afterlife.
No you won't because there isn't one. Once you die, game 🎮 over. 😶

The amount of talent Prince had in his pinky far exceeds that of most "singers" today. He was just amazing!!! Rest in peace.
Amen
For some stupid reason your post reminded me of a line that Fran Drescher said once- He’s got more talent in his little pinky than anyone else has in their whole pinky!
I know it’s stupid but I love how it makes no sense.
@@josebrown5961 Lol you gotta love Fran Drescher!
The 1st Prince song I ever heard. The song that made me a Prince fan.
The best pure pop from genius.
I always turned my radio to the Electrifying Mojo at midnight in Detroit. That’s how I was introduced to Prince and his music.
Prince and I were introduced at his I Wanna Be Your Lover Concert at the Circle Star Theater in the Bay Area! I later performed with this song for the opening act on ESPN World Wide Television for the now World Famous Black Belt Hall of Fame West Coast Demonstration Team! I miss Prince!!!
Man this album is a classic
Prince was a game changer with this album and he put Minneapolis on the map with this album. It's sad that in today's music industry there isn't a Prince.
True. It is sad. I’m a Prince type tho. But I’m a fashion model. I’m very different looking and I love that. God had fun when he or she made me.

Possibly the most 80s thing ever! What a great song! Prince was incredible!
He defined a decade actually, wouldn't have been the 80s without him

FINALLY!! people younger than 35 can now see a Prince video.
Motown Stickman I now! Remember!
It is a real slice of Minneapolis sound. He fused Rick, Pop and soul... .etc0
Finally people much older than you can see a Prince video. You couldn't find a Prince video on UA-cam to save your life until after he passed. I only saw a few on cable many years ago. He definitely did not have enough exposure. That was a big mistake.

Prince was the asshole that stopped it
One good thing about his death
Sugar: That is an incredibly ignorant comment and obviously, you are not a Prince fan, because if you were, then you would know that Prince wanted credit for HIS music, HIS work!! Do you want your Boss paying someone else for YOUR work? Comprende?

Prince music was out of this world I still enjoy prince's music #2022
Prince stated in an interview that he accepted that unreleased songs in his vault would inevitably be released after he was gone. So everybody can chill. It's easy to deduce he'd accept his officially released music would one day be heard again on YT.
OFFSIDESwithLSUfreek Prince loved to please his fans. Came out his mouth many times
Well said. Now, enjoy the meaning and the ideals Prince was expressing and communicating in Dirty Mind!
Not really. Prince pleased himself, but for many of his post WB Records/Jehovah Witness years, Prince, one, took advantage of his fans through the NPGMusicClub, etc. and two, wasn't very friendly or fan-centric. In fact, Prince sold his 2OTEN album to a publication, millions of copies, going around any fans or music buying public. Fans often forget that, and many other things he pulled from fans, including their own fan websites.
that is bold face lie cuz Prince gave us more than our money's worth through the NPGmusicclub especially the giving away the one night alone box set, xpectation album download, c-note album download, the contest song, the many song downloads in reflection room as well as the many song downloads in the jam of the week and exclusive seats and passes to after parties....
wendileona YOU BETTER SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH.

Jessica Jones Wow that’s dope! Did you keep the ticket stub?
@@YeekTV_Atlanta No. In fact, I bitched about having to pay the 5. A friend's mother worked for the city and had comp tickets. My other friend loved Prince and played 'Soft and Wet' constantly at the bar on campus. I liked the song, but he wasn't a big deal to me. He made me a believer afterwards! That show was great! He jumped on the piano - I mean on top! Teena Marie was a favorite of mine already and she knew she had to get down.
