With Both SC 900 and AZ 500 you cover a wide range of security technical skills to work with Azure. From Identity authentication and authorisation to, how to separate environments successfully using NSG’s and other security segregation networking Azure Resources.
      You could work in SecOps
You could work in Security Consultancy
You could work in Security Operations
You Could work as a Security Architect
As long as you can demonstrate the fundamentals of each technology to Azure and why you will use which services to identify any security short comings; you should land a job.
However, you need to determine if you want to be hands on, consultancy or Architect. As each job has a different technical and soft skills requirement. Where you are short i skills , skill up and apply for the role you want.
If you want to use a broad brush in applying for roles you can apply to anything Azure security related; but this is my opinion and I will caveat this by saying, it really depends on your background.
If you have no implementation experience or haven’t done any labs where you can put theory to the test, you still have some training to do, to land the job you want.

@@jcvirtcloudconsultancy7552 Thank you so much for the clarification. I come from IAM solution background but we make use of Internal IAM, tool instead of Azure, sailpoint etc. I wanted to move to any public cloud computing platform so I chose azure but wasn't sure what certification and hands on lab experience is required to land a new job.

I am currently an IAM specialist. What do you think about doing AZ 104 or doing AZ SC 300 before doing AZ 500? I dont work as much in Azure but our company does utilize it. I am worried I cannot put the knowledge into use? I completed az 900 recently. Currently studying for the comptia security+. but im not sure about anything now. Any suggestions will be helpful!

      Hey pal,
I know how you feel! Its like what do I do, you have this cert and that cert to learn, but you not sure which to prioritize.
My suggestion would be, do the cert that matters the most. Therefore if you are doing AWS instead of Azure, which it sounds like you are doing something other, then focus on what you are currently doing.
If you are trying to gain knowledge and feel that the work you put in would be lost due to not utilising it, then take good notes. In all honesty there is so much to read, learn and take exams its just best to stay focus on what you are currently doing.
Compita Security+ can help you on your way for pent test gigs etc, might not be necessary for someone who is an IAM specialist.
SC 300 will keep you align with your IAM interest. All I can say is, stay focus on what you like.
What Cloud or infrastructure are you currently engage with? AWS ?

@@jcvirtcloudconsultancy7552 Azure! I was thinking to become cloud security engineer at some point. Comptia security+ will help me overall.

@@myway8950 If security is your focus, get Comptia security+, SC 300 is needed, and AZ 500 for sure. SC300 and AZ 500 are independent of each other, therefore doesn't matter which one you do first.
There is a HUGE demand for security pros, so your skills will be needed!
