      Hi Jen, great question! When you move a fiddle leaf fig or any plant, you'll want to make sure that it is in a temperature controlled truck or van so that the plant is not exposed to any extreme cold or hot temperatures. There are some great tips in this blog post as well! fiddleleaffigplant.com/best-tips-for-moving-your-fiddle-leaf-fig-plant/

    I am in Australia. Can you tell me how to purchase the FLF fertilizer and vitamins ? Amazon don't appear to have it in stock at the moment.

      Hi Susan, we aren't available in your area but there are some other options for you. Find a 3-1-2 NPK Ratio fertilizer in your nursery or plant store. That will be best for your plant!

    I am attempting to save a fiddle leaf that was given to me because they weren't quite sure what to do with it. Would it be too risky to either remove all the leaves? Or should I just try to propagate some new plants from it? It's very leggy and 90 percent of the leaves are damaged or have large brown spots.

    bought a big Fiddle leaf fig, it looked healthy but dirty , so I decided to clean the leafs. I found several of them with small round black spots, took them out, but I wonder if this is any kind of infestation.

    Is the leaf amour spray pet friendly?

    • @FiddleLeafFigPlant
      @FiddleLeafFigPlant  2 роки тому

      I would keep away from kids and pets, but it is non-toxic as it's made from alo vera and chitosan. However, it does contain shellfish ingredients, so you would want to be careful if you have a shellfish allergy.

    I bought a fiddle that says its from Vigoro from Home Depot. It looks like the soil is all peat moss. Should I repot in a different medium?

    • @FiddleLeafFigPlant
      @FiddleLeafFigPlant  Рік тому

      Hello! Yes, I would repot and use a fast-draining soil. Peat moss is not sufficient on its own to support the nutritional needs of the plant and to allow for the root system to get access to water when you water the plant. Happy Growing!

      I assume big box stores just sell what they are sent from a wholesaler. I does not mean it’s in an appropriate container or the soil is one that will grow a healthy plant. I always double check the soil requirements, the plants get repotted 100% of the time.💁🏻‍♀️🙂

    I have three stems and one of them have brown spots on the leaves. I suspect root rot but how is it possible to only have one stem suffering from root rot and the other two healthy.

    • @FiddleLeafFigPlant
      @FiddleLeafFigPlant  Рік тому

      It could begin that way, make sure to asses your drainage to ensure the water drains properly out the bottom drainage holes and your plant is getting the light it needs by sitting directly in front of and up against your brightest window. my flf confuses the hell out of me. I water it when its totally dry, typically every 7-10 days. I give it 1tsp of your FLF fertilizer each watering. It has sprouted TWO leaves in two years and multiple leafs have fallen off. What else can I do!?!?

    • @FiddleLeafFigPlant
      @FiddleLeafFigPlant  11 місяців тому

      Is it getting enough light? They should sit directly in front of and up against your brightest window. Even when they are pulled back from a window a foot or more, it's not enough light for them to thrive. For more help, join our wonderful fiddle leaf fig community! Fiddleleaffigplant.com/community

    Hi there. I have a fig tree in a large pot I've had for 3 years. I don't know what kind of fig it is but I don't think it's a fiddle leaf fig. Each year it gets brown spots. It's full of beautiful leaves and grown so tall but it's only April and the leaves are full of brown spots about in different sizes with a light brown spot in each center. I just repotted it last year. I hope you can help me determine what to do, it's really upsetting me because I want one do bad. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

      Hi Sandy, thank you for your question. Are the brown spots dry and crispy? Is it getting too much direct sunlight? Best to join and post a few pictures inside our helpful community for assistance! fiddleleaffigplant.com/community

      @@FiddleLeafFigPlant I'm sorry but I don't do Facebook. I don't think it's possible for it to have too much sun because it's been in the house over the winter and it was just put out when the weather started warming. I actually had to bring it in again because we had several freezing temperatures lately and it wasn't until it went out last time that it started getting spots. It's on my deck and at present it doesn't get full sun until the afternoon. If you have an email address you can give me I can send pics that way. It reminds me of some acid being dropped on the leaf and it kills the area where it landed and it does develop a hole eventually. Thanks so much for the help!
