Novak, you in particular have a story I relate to more than most. I first heard your testimony about 2 years ago and it has given me hope without which I would have been another statistic. Dammit man. My guy is coming right now. And Novac just hit me hard. I have a few klonopins and suboxone. I need to get off H now. The great thing I see is that it’s absolutely possible. It’s just real hard and uncomfortable. My friend just got off and used klonapin and suboxone for a week and got clean. Everyone don’t be discouraged. Also Novak is a product of treatment and 12 steps. A lot of people can do it on their own. A lot can’t. God is with us.

      Recovering addicts can't help but repeat the same stories over and over. I would know, I am one myself and I have to really make sure I'm not reliving the glory days all the time because I know its obnoxious. But it's just something wired in our brains from the substance abuse.

      What do you want him to do, tell someone else’s story? This is his story and he’s good at telling it. One of the greatest pitfalls we recovering addicts face is forgetting our past and the destruction and chaos we came from. The minute I start believing that my life in active addiction wasn’t so bad is the minute I start back down that road of active addiction. I’m thankful that Novak keeps telling his story, someone somewhere needs to hear it.

    • @jsat4202
      @jsat4202 3 роки тому

      @@robertcarpenter3020 He could switch the shit up from time to time. Him and Bam literally say the same god damn thing verbatim in every interview. If he isn't talking about sobriety they're telling stories they already told on radio bam a decade ago. I'm a fan of Novak and I'm glad he's sober but it's like god damn man. Used to look forward to seeing videos about him, nowadays I just cringe. It'd be one thing if he was lowkey and humble about the shit. He wasn't a jackass cast member. He wasn't the star of Viva La Bam. He's not a #1 selling author.

      Take one step at a time man. You can do it. I was in the same boat as you, I used subs for like 7 years because I was afraid, I couldn’t remember what it felt like to be 100% sober anymore. But you gotta do it at your pace, if you need a half a sub a day, do that until you taper down slow. Don’t just shock your body because you will most likely panic from withdrawal and go right back to avoid that TERRIBLE feeling that makes you do the crazy things! I’m from EXACTLY where Novak is from. Same area. I’ve seen him at bars years ago. Even after he was on viva la bam. Baltimore is destroyed by opioids now. 20 years ago was the same. It’s terrible. I eventually had to move here to Ft Worth Texas to get away from it. EVERYONE in my life was associated with getting high. It’s tough. 💪🏻💪🏻 be strong, day by day.

      & Novaz don't lie about shit ..
      His accomplishments on a skate board when he was young, are one of a kind .. His past is about living fast & making big mistake's due from fast fame his skate board granted him at such a young age.. Before those events he was only a kid . then money & fame came & life became a party over time & choice's he made slowly, over time helped him become an addict to many negative things ,
      As i know cause like my self this is how i became an addict , partying , drugs & alcohol before the age of 18. . this is how most people become addicts . . & there story begins from their past .. . . i feel stupid for having to explain this to you & the other fool @jsat 420 cause both of yalls comments
