nobody has won the battle and I worry that he will relapse every day. He searches for things outside himself to stay sober. IE my mother my father my brother blah blah blah. I don't think he's done yet

Addiction is a lifelong disease. He deserves all the credit in the world for remaining sober this long and for helping all the people he has, even if he was to relapse today

Hell yeah! There's no point in worrying about what might happen. I've been an addict for 30 yrs & Ive relapsed many times but when I dd I refused to beat myself up about it, lose hope & give up. Instead I just tried again. And again. And again. Staying sober for longer & longer until I got it to stick. If I ever use again I'll get back up and dust myself off and try again. I've never met an addict that made it stick the first time they stopped but plenty that never even tried. @@FieldMarshallNey

Novak really inspired me to stay clean. Was on heroin and oxys every day for 6 years. I used Kratom for a month to get off the shit and then stopped using anything. Haven't touched a drug in 5 years and 4 months. Kratom saved my life but this guy really helped me want to stay clean.

I remember seeing him in Viva LA Bam before I used drugs, and then ending up in addiction myself. I still have a hard time believing that he sobered up. It took me so much pain and heartache to finally surrender and get some help. Today I have 1 year, 1 month, and 1 day sober. I take it one day at a time, and most importantly, I do NOT feed the sadness, I fuel my relationship with God and I seek help when I need it. My drug of choice was Meth, and I was willing to throw it all away for one more hit. This recovery thing, it is possible for us addicts. Work the program of recovery.. it gets easier. I promise.

I love watching you Brandon, but you need to change up your dialog some. We've heard the "bought a plot, people taking life insurance out" talk a million times. Love you man.

I really like Novak and I think it’s great hes doing great.
I hate how he talks in all these little catch phrases. “From Yale or jail, whitehouse to outhouse” “I was so low the curb looked like a skyscraper”…. Just talk buddy, we all want to hear.

Every rehab I go to it’s the same sayings, the same types of people, it’s like a weird cult. I wouldn’t have as much of a problem if there wasn’t that sense of narcissistic bigotry that comes with all these programs. They look at me like I’m crazy for not understanding religion or their psychology when I don’t force my ideologies on them. I just want help that I can understand and feel comfortable with, not feel guilty or feel judged into being another brainwashed “addict in long term recovery”, but they say “your mind is dirty, so maybe you need to be brainwashed”. It makes me sick..

I'm proud of Novak I'm happy that he's clean. I hope that he stays clean! I've been clean myself for 11 years. But I don't feel like Novak is truly helping people when he gets paid a kickback for body brokering! If you're going to help somebody help them because you can not because of what you can get out of helping somebody, in Novak's case that would be thousands of dollars. Now Novak has his own facility which he owns the house getting ready to purchase another house to put more bodies in. Novak's loving Bam from a distance tactic is awful. Just because somebody gets clean doesn't make them a good person.

Im happy for any of you who find recovery. But be wary of giving too much credit to people
You might find they are fallible just like the rest of us.
Don't get it twisted, Im overjoyed for all of you who live free
But I have learned that people ( especially in the treatment industry) have agendas
And the treatment industry around Philadelphia is dirty and corrupt from top to bottom
If you helo one but harm five you aren't helping
No one is cleaner, soberer ( if that's a word)or spiritualer than anyone else
If you can pass a piss test then you are as clean as you are going to get

Brandon is open, and is as honest he can possibly be, however the interviewer is terrible. It seems like the interviewer is trying to get Brandon to relive the sensations of getting high with heroin. Why would he do that? Don't prostitute your guest by trying to sensationalize his experience. Brandon explaining his life experience alone, is authentic, there's no need for the fox News amateur sensationalism interview.
