Hello Brother, I really appreciate you taking the time to post your comment 😉👊 ... thanks for stopping by and watching, and I am glad it was helpful 😁👍🇺🇸
Thanks for the info, I need to order a couple new springs since one of them seems to have gotten bent up for some reason and I may as well get the primer chute as well. I really like this press!
Haven’t tried it yet - but it also looks like your design will help keep that pin from walking out. Mine already has walked out and compromises the primer tray from vibrating as well.
Lol 🤣 ... Andy, I totally understand not needing another press😉. I might get one more, but if I do, it won't be until the fall of this year. I really want that FA X10 😜 ... thanks again for stopping by and watching Brother 👊 🇺🇸
That's awesome, Brother. Congratulations on your new Six Pack Pro press👊 ... I also have the Lyman all-American 8😁 ... Thanks for stopping by I truly appreciate it happy reloading👊🇺🇸
Are your 9mmm cases backing out of the show play when the case feeder backs off. Tighten up the adjustment screw on the right side of the case feeder a little bit we'll solve that problem.
I have this press. First progressive press for me. Only issues I’ve had with primers is if you miss a case feed, the primer ram will feed up but then the primer will hang when the ram retracts, so the primer arm will pick up another primer (because it’s empty), which jams everything up as the first primer is stuck in the system. Also, have to use a small pin the get the last 2-3 primers out of the feed tray. Only other issue is if you have the case collator attached to the case feed tubes and are using a 1lb jug on the powder die (the stock powder container is a terrible design with all the angles - it’s impossible to just pour out the powder as it gets stuck in all the nooks and crannies) the 1lb jug will hit the collator as you run the press up/down and eventually knock the entire case feed off. Other than that it’s been great for 9 and 45
I can't say that I've had any issues with the primer system to date. Using the case collator and a 1lb powder bottle with the Lee Auto Drum is problematic for sure. Thanks for stopping by and watching Brother 👊 🇺🇸
You can put a 9mm case under the carrier on the left side to stop the press before the pin pushes up the primer, effectively disabling the priming system without interfering with the rest of the press at all (including case feeder)
Based on chronology, this video was shot after you loaded the 50rds of 9MM for the camera? I used the wire mod to agitate the primers more, but I find that the agitation then makes the casing "unalign" itself for sizing (the casing shakes back out of the shellplate a hair), leading the casing to hit the die mouth. Oddly, this happens with 9MM, but not .45. The press is mounted to a solid block of aluminum, bolted to a steel bench top, so the movement isn't related to bench flex. Did you experience anything similar? The additional agitation definitely works, but seems to cause this new problem, plus the agitation pin on my setup started to back out. Only real hassle I have, so it's just something to sort out to speed up the process a bit more.
You are correct with the chronological order of this video. This video was done after my video of loading 50 rounds. I have seen the primer pin wire hack haven't had a need to try it. As for the 9mm cases backing out of the shell plate that is caused by the case slider movement from side to side. The tolerance of the case slider is a bit sloppy and can pull the case back a touch, which gives the misalignment and can cause the case to hit the mouth of the resizing die. You won't see it with 45acp because the case is fatter in diameter. The case slide is better suited for 45acp than 9mm. I have a video coming soon that shows how I fixed that issue. Also called and talked to Lee Precision about tightening up the tolerances on the case slider, and they are going to address it asap🤞. Thanks for stopping by and watching, Brother ... happy reloading 😉👊🇺🇸
@@JerrBearTactical unfortunately mine is the reverse problem lol. 9mm the case feeder works perfect, .45 I had to trim the left side "hook" of the feeder back a hair so it didn't grab on the return. Easy fix. Even at slow speeds I can watch the 9mm case back out as the pin runs over the wire. Odd that these problems aren't consistent press to press. My primer agitation pin only contacts the lower notch anyways, the one nearer the top of the post doesn't come close.
I also got the new primer trough pin from Lee. It didn’t improve the primer feed reliability on mine. Primers still not feeding reliably & having to keep a close eye on it. Are you having trouble with any of the other parts or did you just get those for just in case?
I have not had any issues or problems with my press. I got all of those new parts to have on hand as spares😉 ... that really sucks you are having problems with the priming system 😕 I have some new videos coming out soon that may help address the problem and/or issues you are having with the primer chute or tray not feeding reliably. Thanks for stopping by and watching 👊 🇺🇸
@@JerrBearTactical yeah, miss one primer and the powder drops down around the primer seat pin and locks the whole press up. Everything works fine until you miss a primer.
Did you get yourself the new self-cleaning primer pin and spring? This will prevent the press from locking up here's the link: leeprecision.com/primer-pin-spring-for-six-pack-pro.html
I’m using 3 loadmasters with no issue especially with the the priming system I just ordered a pro 6000 in 223. Anyone Load rifle for this press? Thoughts? Advice?
I just load pistol calibers on mine, but there's plenty of videos doing 223 / 5.56 with no issues that I've seen or heard 😉 ... thanks for stopping by and watching, Brother 👊🇺🇸
No, the clutch part is not needed, I just wanted to have the spare parts. The primer chute comes off by pushing up, and it should pop right out. Re installing is just as easy, put it in place, and push down and should pop into place. That was a great question. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my video 😉👊🇺🇸
