    Your videos sold me on the Six Pack. Its a much more affordable machine than a Dillon with the same features (auto-index, case feeder, bullet feeder). It's my first progressive. Setup was very simple and I cranked out 100 round of 9mm very quickly compared to a single stage. Tested the cartridges out on the range this weekend and all of them worked just fine. What an incredible machine!

      That’s awesome. I haven’t had time to do any reloading or videos while I’ve been home this time as I had to go back to work earlier than usual. Will try to do more when I get back in.

      @@JONBailleul-gu4fo I started with a Lee single stage almost 20 years ago and still have it. Most of my reloading is Lee products. I think for the price and quality you can’t beat it.

    Agreed. I love Lee products. I started with a classic turret press and cant count how many thousands of rounds I’ve loaded on it. Lee has been good to me and I wont change. I’m getting ready to buy the six pack pro and looking forward to set up.

    I love my loadmaster . Had to do some tweaking to it but it’s a good press. But I been waiting over 6 month for the six pack to come back in stock .
    Thanks for video

    Yeah, I'm plenty fine with Lee.
    I've have and extensively used the Pro 1000, Breach Lock Pro, and Loadmaster. They've all had their unique problems.
    The 6 pack pro solves them all.

    what do you do for case prep for 223 obviously I would like to do all of the stages de-prime and resize, prime, powder, seat, and crimp so with the cases would you trim and then lube then put in the case feeder? and is a headspace gauge needed?

    • @aubreyfishingandoutdoors5479
      @aubreyfishingandoutdoors5479  Рік тому +1

      My shelf I do an initial clean, resize, and de-prime before trimming. Once I have done all my initial chamfering and de-burring I was using One-Shot to lube cases again before putting them in the case feeder. Following the directions on one-shot will keep the mess down. I should also mention that most of my initial prep was done on another press. I would like to have said the SPP was an be all end all press but I found that for bottle neck cases it is a bit of love hate with it.

    Great tutorial on the Lee 6000. I have a hodge-podge of Lee, RCBS, Redding Hornady Lyman products that work better than each their competitors in my price range. I currently have the Lee 4-hole Turret Press and I believe I'm ready for a progressive press and this appears to fill the bill. The non-kit press option, does it come with the primer feeder section and case feeder? I have the dies with the breech locks, the Lee Pro Disk for powder. I have no problem buying the shells plates and placing bullets myself for now. Thanks again.

      Thanks for watching. To answer your question, to the best of my knowledge it does come with primer feeder and case feeder magazine. Setting it up is a bit tricky as the spring for the primer feed has to be a certain way. The case feed system can be a pain but with a few adjustments and a little DIY mine is functioning great. Hope this helps.

    Good review! I have an opportunity to buy a new Loadmaster for about $125 less than a new six pack. Would you go that route today? Money isn’t the issue mind you, I just like how robust the Loadmaster looks. I load 9mm, .38 Spc, .40, 30-30, and .556. Primarily going to load the pistol cartridges though. Thanks!

      I have a load master and they are excellent machines. They are a bit tricky as any progressive press can be. Also you lose the extra die station. If you can get it for the price you say, it’s worth it. Another thing about the Loadmaster is the die plate is nice that you can change out all your dies at one time. Keep your powder dry and happy reloading.

    My experience with Lee Precision is they put individual parts numbers in their instruction manuals. These numbers should then be replaceable through Lee.

    My shell carrier on my Lee 4000 sticks and fails to feed the case all the way too. Also, try to avoid the Lee bullet feeder, it tends to A. drop the bullets B. not grab a bullet C. bite its own fingers off. I am THINKING about upgrading and consolidating from a Pro 4000 (pistol) and a Turret (rifle) to only one. I lack room in my shop. Thanks for the video. Do you think it will load 30-06?

    • @aubreyfishingandoutdoors5479
      @aubreyfishingandoutdoors5479  Рік тому

      I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t reload 30/06. I was able to do some 223 just after I made this video. There is plenty of stroke for it. I don’t shoot a lot of 30/06 so I reload it on my single stage.

      I THINK I read somewhere that it was capable f loading up to 50BMG. If that's the case, there's probably no round it cant reload.

    • @aubreyfishingandoutdoors5479
      @aubreyfishingandoutdoors5479  Рік тому

      @@johnmcdougald1238 I’m not sure if it’s capable of 50 BMG, for one I think the dies won’t fit standard thread pattern or the breach lock. I don’t know this for sure as I have never reloaded or know anyone personally that has reloaded 50BMG. I do know it will load 300winmag largest caliber I own.

      @@aubreyfishingandoutdoors5479 Yeah. That's why I wasn't positive on it. It might have been that they took some of their design elements for the 50BMG press and used it when making this one. I just vaguely recall hearing on a review or reading in an article something related to 50BMG and this press.

      OK. This was bugging the Piss out of me. It's the Linkage. They are using the same Linkage from the 50BMG press on the Pro6000. That's what it was. I think I heard it on Fortunecookie and read it on Reloader Network.

    Hello. So is this setap better than Loadmaster? what are you thinking about change loadmaster to SixPackPro?
    I use Loadmaster with Auto Drum Powder Measure, Mr. Bulletfeeder mini and it is good fo .223 reload. as other I have some issues with primer system too.

      As far as one being better than the other it is hard for me to say. I’ve only had the Six Pack a couple of months. Setup was easier on the Six Pack but caliber change is easier on the Loadmaster. They both have strong points and are strong presses. But as of right now I would give the edge to the Six Pack as for the extra die station to install specialty dies like powder checker. Lee has been quick this first year out with the Six Pack at addressing issues.
