- This tracer mod for the SPLAT-R-BALL SRB1200 cost nothing to make and needs only a few simple tools for an awesome effect. I use the internal LEDs that come with the Splatrball SRB1200 blaster to light up glow gel balls before they enter the barrel. Very simple to DIY for fun night time play.

I’m also going to try and make the mag wider with a quick feel I’ve also over powered it to shoot harder 😈 but I used White lithium grease to pervert wear n tear so far it’s been good 😊

Yes, you need to use tracer glow gel balls. Link in the description.
Why would you think that this would work with normal gels?
You could use an epoxy putty on the body reassembly screws. Put some down before seating then encase the screw inside and let it dry. Might work better if it will bond with the plastic okay.
hey my gel blaster recently stopped working i was wondering if you knew how to fix it my wire for the that you use to attach the battery is ripped for the end of the wire that is by the magazine
Your gonna need to repair that wire by either soldering it, or using crimp connectors if possible.

Could you recommend or do a video on the srb400 instead of led light can you test a tracer unit off Amazon I don’t know any that may fit I’ve asked around but had no answers
Standard tracer units will be difficult to add on, because they are designed to screw into threads on the outer barrel. Splatrball does not have an outer barrel. Also, I will be adding a hop up, and you can't have both unless the tracer is built into the blaster like the T-piece mod.

Hey this comment is a little late but was wondering if adding in the screws at the end is nessisary since i probably wont be taking the blaster apart again
Should be fine, the covers are mostly cosmetic.
my trigger for the srb1200 doesn’t work unless I pull it extremely hard. Already started return I’m not sure what’s up with it
How much has it been used? The trigger contacts will wear out and need to be replaced eventually.

What brand did you use? I've only used the Gel Strike ones so far amzn.to/3EPZoGa , and I just let them sit in water for months without any overgrowth issues.

Most of the time when I shoot the glow gel balls come out but sometimes I shoot then one falls out of the barrel. It does not do it with normal gel balls

Yes, but pita to take apart again. Magnets would be cool way to keep the top cover on.

to do it no issues but after putting it together and shooting it i’ve noticed that the motor or whatever part is inside the hand grip moves around everytime i shoot. Is there a fix for this?

You should do a mod where you replace the battery with an external power bank.
The battery that comes with the gun is too easy to ruin. It would be neat to rewire the gun to have a 6 foot usb wire hanging out of the battery port and plugged into a separate power bank in your pocket.
Easier to just buy a new battery, but not as cool.
You can add an external battery, but not through USB to a power bank. These use way more current than a power bank can provide. Replacing the battery with a higher current internal battery would help with battery issues.
Do those glow gel balls work really well?
They work alrighty. As good or better than stock ammo. They are not hardened though. The hardened glow gel balls are expensive, and not worth the extra cost for casual play.

@@hyvix687 SURGE is better than the Amazon uzi. Splatrball SRB400 is much larger than SURGE and therefore more powerful. My favorite blaster in this price range is the UNLOCX, and they now sell it as a pistol version. It's the best of both worlds. amzn.to/3wt0W6A
Same FPS as SRB400, great accuracy, and compact form factor, but also configurable. The barrel extension sucks though and decreases the accuracy.
Can I use the orange orbeez from Walmart? Or do those not glow?

@@angel_alejo12 The glow gel balls absorb UV light better than other wavelengths, so UV LEDs of ~400nm are preferred. However, in this video, the stock blue LEDs are used successfully.

Disconnect the led to save on battery
LED power consumption is trivial, and it goes out after 1 minute of not moving.
Which is better the srb400 or the srb1200
SRB400 has a better plastic shell, easier to take apart, better design

@@7qvk they are equal in those aspects because they use the same gearbox. The 1200 has higher RPS specs.

Looks like a version 2 gear box just like an air soft rifle
It's similar to a V3 airsoft gearbox.
I used to play airsoft 10 years ago, i worked on my Tokyo Marui rifles back in the day. 400-450 FPS is the norm

Yes, can still use normal ammo. It doesn't affect the performance of the blaster
