hi where would u place the putty on this rig? would you place it on the hook section like you would in top of the swivel as if it was a chod? fantastic video by the way
+Jonathan Nicklin as Zachary says, the best place to position the putty is around the knot. You'll find that this gives good purchase for the putty to hold onto.
any recommendations for when the carp aren't biting corn, boilies or bread? they seemed to be just hangin out for the current in the river? we tried both surface&bottom&came out with nothing
Personally I prefer an albright knot over a mahin as some stiff materials can get a bit fragile, otherwise a good rig as long as the stiff stuff is strong enough (20lb+)

Can you use an uncoated braid all the way through instead of a coated braid
Uncoated braid is to supple for a hinged stiff rig, it won’t push away from the lead or reset away from the lead if the rig is spat out

use shrink tube and its much safer instead of a knot that u tie on the nylon! everything rest on one knot??
The knot we use is the Mahin knot, It's a knot commonly used for tying leaders and is more than sufficient for use in a rig like this one
