I've been driving a 2022 sport touring Civic back and forth between Orange county and Riverside over the Ortega highway. About 30 mi of switchbacks and paper clips. I just traded it for a Camry se. Went over that mountain last weekend and OMG. The Camry is not a canyon Carver. It was very comfortable. Especially at lower speeds.
Test drove the LE. Its very smooth, low wind noise, tire noise still there. But I hate the windnoise of the tesla. Tesla got alot of power, yes, it is for younger driver. I like camy better. I hate the charging of ev. Toyota hybrid is the way to go.

What makes it look like an EV? It has a giant “grill” Cars from the 2000’s didn’t even have visible grills. Something like a Cadillac lyriq is an EV but has a massive grill.

I purchased my se sport camry in 2009 olmost full loaded without leather seats and a 3.5 liter engine for 26K. Today camry looks like hyundai or kia and price not worth it

visually i see a hybrid of our 2016 nissan altima with the impressive quite large 2024 hyundai elantra. a very nice visual and the torque and hp during traffic is impressive.

Civic is nowhere near this car because the Camry is a class above (test drove them both by the way) They both have great interior quality Civic is more agile because of the shorter wheelbase but in terms of smoothness, sound insulation, and overall comfort this way better My advice get the Civic if you mostly drive in the city, get the Camry if you do a lot of highway driving If you are planning to buy one of them test drive them both and if you can do the test driving back to back can’t go wrong with either of them
I have been a Honda man forever. Usually the accord, but the last 2 generations You feel like you're trapped in there.. the doors And dashboard come up way too high before the windows start. I'm grieving because before I buy a 25 Camry, I'm selling my 14 accord to my son and I'm going to miss it. I'm grieving.😢
Hi! I'd have to drive them too, but from my experience, there won't be any major differences in terms of handling and feel. The XSE may have a slightly stiffer ride, but in the grand scheme of things it won't be much different from the XLE.
Thanks for the video. I'm curious how you compare the drive quality and handling of the new Camry Hybrid with the Honda Accord Hybrid? You mentioned in your 2023 video on the Accord the vehicle was an A+ and two steps above the Toyota/Mazda equivalents (of their previous generation). What about now? And would you be able to take that deep curve at the same or higher speed in the Accord without squealing the tires? Thanks.
I'd say they are similar, but the Accord Touring does feel more luxurious. I also think the Honda has more engaging handling and more cornering capabilities.

perhaps our pasenger was ready for basketball on the street at a moment's notice !-- slacks would be nice given the upper price point -- so this is THE weakness of the hybrid : way too much money Upfront , so YOU MUST DRIVE MANY MILES to save gas to recoup that high purchase price---- especially if a nissan Altiima with its very good-- not flawless but very good ---CVT, Strong Acceleration and Great fuel economy especially at 60 -62 mph--i saw nearly 46-48 by my reckoning.

I agree, they are! I think power wise at least from a roll, it's virtually the same acceleration, but this Camry has more instant response. This car traps similar speeds as the V6 would in the 1/4 mile.
Lol 5k mark up for Camry?? Will see huge discount from MSRP soon due to economic crash. And It's trunk isn't practical, has hump inside causing short length of depth interior of cargo space. Great video tho

Great review. What is the color of that interior? I put a down payment on a 25 Camry XLE, wind chill pearl on the outside and light gray interior on the inside. Mine fully loaded out The door is 44,327.00. I guess that's in the ballpark. I only test drove the LE And although I love the car, I'm not happy with this seat. So after checking this car out and test driving it, I don't even have to take it. I will be fully refunded if I don't want the car. It's not ready until october though.😢

at 11 06 if i could add an electric motor and a bit more sound deadening to my 2016 nissan altima and it is a dead heat.. for much less than this huge Price tag which is listed in PRE-DOWNTURN NOVEMBER, 2024.

You mentioned sport mode, but the XLE does not have it, only the XSE. The XSE has eco, normal and power. I think you drove an XSE not an XLE. There's is big difference though.. The XSE has a tougher suspension no memory seats, sportier, while the XLE is posh, more luxurious.
acceleration just from the sound feels like car is struggling to pick up from 0 to 60. seems like vehichle's computer is limiting engine's power during pickup to save on gas.

All this people saying that for that price you could get a bmw or audi aren't real buyers, the car is definitely expensive but those cars are notoriously unreliable and the sales figures on the camry show that reliability triumphs everything else when it comes to purchasing a vehicle (unless you're filthy rich)
Toyota’s reliability is a big question mark these days with massive recalls in the last few weeks and quality certification cheating scandals currently being reported out of Japan.
For 44k I rather buy the BMW 3 series or Audi A4. More power, sporty and luxurious car. It’s insane that the price jump so high right now… What’s the markup for, there’s no more pandemic or anything anymore or any shortage.

Look up the differences between CVT and eCVT. eCVT's are more reliable as there is no belt or chain to break.

Last gen camry only has FWD. not AWD at least in aus. 2025 is the new gen and the drivetrain is the same thorughout diff countries

It's just the way the CVT works. It needs to build rpms to get to the optimal engine power.

All this people saying that for that price you could get a bmw or audi aren't real buyers, the car is definitely expensive but those cars are notoriously unreliable and the sales figures on the camry show that reliability triumphs everything else when it comes to purchasing a vehicle (unless you're filthy rich)

@@issavibez394 yes indeed all cars with CVTs. I will be posting a 5 year review of my car with CVT next year and you will get in depth of city and highway driving on how it goes and such without pressing the throttle too hard. All my driving for both city and highway
