    Sir, I am using Mettler Toledo V10S. Sometimes my Karl Fischer reagent conc. decreased to below 4.5, hence this value not stored in system. Also there is no option to input titer value manually. Now, am I getting wrong results for samples?

    • @pharmaworldk1473
      @pharmaworldk1473  Рік тому

      Dear Rajib, you have to modify the program to include the K F factor below 4 5 also. Your system administrator can do this. Generally, there will not be any provision to enter manually in fully automated KF titraters. If the system is not operated as per instructions of the instrument, it is likely to give you erratic results.

    But if my factor is 4.9 so,can this is right or out of limit?

    • @pharmaworldk1473
      @pharmaworldk1473  2 місяці тому

      @gopalgirase-01 4.9 factor is OK. 5.0 to 6.0 factor is only a guiding factor. Read USP , you will fully understand the factor concepts

    In a kfr bottle for 5mg water consumes 1ml reagent, then factor is 5. But how to give 5 to 6, kfr solution strength decrease slowly so factor also below 5. Can you explain

    • @pharmaworldk1473
      @pharmaworldk1473  5 місяців тому

      @@ebersonleoraj6728 Even if the factor is below 5 mg/ml, it can be used to estimate water content. 5 to 6 factor is only a guiding reference. USP allows to use KF with lower than 5 factor. Is it clear now?
