FWIW, 'Advanced Welding' adds a 'Precision Grinding' function. Hold SecondaryAction (RMB or gamepad equivalent) while aiming at a block with a hand grinder. This will cause your grinder to only grind that targetted block and nothing else (even after that block was fully grinded), the effect will release once you release the keybind.
I'm SUPER late to the series, but why do you use Beacons instead of Antennas? I've literally NEVER used the Beacon, since it can't Receive signals, only send them. I'm just curious. I LOVE this series and the "Grind to learn" MOD is absolutely awesome! Thanks for all the time and energy that you've put into this series. As soon as I'm done with my current save, I'm going to play this scenario myself.
I like the color scheme of the base. Since you don't have pistons yet, you could use a daisy chain of hinges until you unlock pistons. Keep up the good work Beebs! Loving the content!
Your video's are interesting. In regards to your small fighter. 4 Ion thrusters should be enough to just lift off the surface. I prefer using 6 to 8 thrusters at 0.25 g's.
The color scheme ain't bad, but the rest of the icy planet also being another shade of blue kind of make the turquoise being a tad too much for the scenery. I would use a deeper blue color for the solar panels, though.

Good volumes (voice/welding/grinding/drilling) and I only scream at the screen a couple of times per video. 😜 I'll probably comment more when I've gotten closer to the upload dates (oh wow...something to look forward to...LOL). I'd would have wished to swapped the drills for grinders for dereliks, but I'll probably ask for that again in the future. Thanks for the content. Stuck? You mean you can't move? Just so you know, when you get out of a Cryo Chamber, Jetpack are turned off. I always am confused by that as well.. lol
lol i was thinking when i seen the auto save come up, i never use it, think of it like this, your crashing and the game autosaves, now your in the loop of crashing
I really enjoy this series. One a side note: speculation time ... the Signals update should drop today. It's been a year since the release of SE on PS, it's Thursday (Keen livestream day), and we've had a sneak peak recently.
i was about to drop a line about constantly running h2 thrusters ... close safe =) If i may, i would suggest to toggle those via event controllers. The event being entering and leaving your cockpit. The effects then would be shutting down thrusters and anything that draws energy while not being used. I guess you may need a seperate group for that.

I think the wind turbines actually work there. I saw someone else put some up on a playthrough.
They should, I can test it to be sure, but I think they will have very low production. It does not make sense though, as this moon has no Atmosphere.
3:30 This is why I use the Lvl 2 Grinder and not the 3. Way to easy to over grind.

I only use Antennas If I aim to remote control the vehicle.

Yeah, that was my thinking as well, very similar to what we did to extend the Nacelle on the Foundation last episode. 👍

Yeah, it did not want to lift up - I will be adding more thrusters to it for sure, most likely need to expand it.

yes fighter call stinger love the series i downloaded the steam proxima but getting stuck in cryo chamber with the alarm driving me nuts lol

You have five backup saves by default 😸
I have set up my saves to back up to 15 times by default - It should give me enough buffer to back to a point if needed. 😊

Rename the black/yellow little fighter 'Stucker', because you know, it's stuck there in the gravity.
outpost suggestion: Replace the grey half blocks with window walls. to finish out the outside Armor tips swooping up to the widows.

I heard of this scenario before - did you get it from the workshop? It's all the rage now, I think.
The industrial refinery can also serve a set of stairs to an upper level!
