Yes, I know.. STILL need to name that miner.. I gotta go and check the suggestions again from 3 episodes again. 😂 In the meantime, what do you think we should name the miner? And if you got any Moon Name suggestions, just let me know! 👍 Thanks for watching
Hey Beebs! Make the 'Mine' within the building as we saw in Starfield. I loaded Proxima recently. My old hardware has a time with it. Always a pleasure. You mentioned about content you are displaying, I might be in the 'few' numbers for I like to see you do it. "Do it yourself and this is how you do it." Save your time editing. 😜
Great episode. Names for that moon? Asgard (reign of the gods) or Midgard (reign of the humans). Or just Hoth, like in SW The Empire strikes back. For the fighter: The black ferret (or the color of you choose for the fighter) or Beebs ferret 😉 For the miner i would say: The Meerkat! Maybe your fighter looks more like a meerkat, lol. Anyway, I hope you like them. Consider not to make big holes so close to the base, so when you have a rover, you can have clear space to drive or park. Just an idea. Thank you for share this series with us 🙏🏻 Btw: your base looks great. Maybe an integrated hangar for your ships?
If you want lots of crashed wrecks, build an orbital base right on the edge of the gravity well. You can set the vent to depressurise to suck the air back into your tank, and there's a chance there might be enough atmosphere outside for the vent to collect O2 for you.
Splitsie tip: You can create a walkthrough airlock using one door by attaching a down or side facing curved window attached to the top or side of the door. It acts as an airtight block but you can walkthrough it! Looks cool too!
I've never understood why so many builders don't use airlocks so only the airlock gets drained instead for the whole room? OK you're on a mountain of ice so you've got unlimited oxygen but still, best practise are airlocks.
Well, I did say that Airlocks will be planned next episode. Tbh, its only the Entrance really that needs to be done, the one to the industry room is already build.
So much fun watching those time elapse clips! So mesmerizing watching how you are laying out your floorplan and then building on it. So many ideas.... So little time. LOL
My general lighting setup for any room is starting at 5m and for every block tall add 2.5m, so 1 block = 5m, 2 blocks = 7.5m, 3 blocks =10m and so on. Just a bit of info: Batteries have 20% power drain for transferring power in or out of the battery.
Throughly enjoy the season! Im new to Space Engineers still getting my space feet. Been trying Proxoma B scenario out. Thank you Here is idea for Miner name: Recur
Yeah, I"ve never been a huge fan of interior turrets for grid-to-grid combat. That MR-20A ammo isn't balanced to do a lot of damage to small grids quickly. When I build them, I usually set them to target characters only. Spiders, wolves, engineers. They COULD be a cheap anti-missile defense, but 1) not piped for auto reloading, and 2) the few times I messed around with it, I didn't think they were very effective on a moving ship. Easier to just evade rockets with the ol' roll+strafe corkscrew. Maybe on static bases it'd be more useful. For everything else, gatling turrets are my floor. One mining ship load of magnesium usually sets me on the path to never being magnesium constrained again, if I'm playing by unrestricted SE game rules. And one static drill rig clearing out a deposit makes Mg effectively unlimited for anything short of planet-wide NPC faction extermination. In one small MP server I ran, one of my friends and I were mystified when he built an interior turret on a conveyor port and it automatically reloaded. Unless the game has changed, I had to assume it was just an undocumented feature of a mod, or a mod I forgot I had loaded. XD It was nice though. :D
Tooltip said 50 rounds per magazine so that's 500 rounds in each interior turret. Make sure you count them all as they're being used though so you know when to restock them 😜

Really like the transitions between 1st person and spectator cam in the beginning. Nice touch!

I can try, although the planet shows as No Oxygen.
Still, with the amount of Ice, not sure If I should even bother lol

Yeah, Large turrets will be installed soon, and hopefully I can find some Welding block blueprints soon, so I can actually make self repairing ones. 👍
Possible name for miner: Dung Beetle
Beautiful work on the outpost Beeblebum!
It's weird how well the flashy blue colour works!
Reminds me of cake icing!

Yeah, I noticed that too in the edit, but there was no still moment to make jokes about it. 😂
