Oh wow! I’d be super curious to know how that would work. Do you pick up stuff while traveling and collage that on the go or collect to work on when you return home? 🤔
@@FionaCArt I pack a tote bag full of collage materials to put in my suitcase. The tote bag has a large pencil case of background papers (maps, sheet music, graph paper, etc), some focal images (cut-out flowers, people's faces, etc), a glue stick, and a small pair of scissors. I also work with acrylic paints and some other mixed-media supplies sometimes, but if I'm on vacation, I just work with the papers, a glue stick, and the scissors.
I like to doodle so my pencil pouch has the vintage sakura pen sets, pencils, a stylus pen combo from uniball so I can play games on my phone and till have a pen lol. I like the one you just got because you can pullout the organizers and have them all laid out instead of flipping around, and I like the color, too. You'll have to vlog your first outing with your new kit. 😁 Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.

Yes! I was inspired when I saw someone else’s case and I was planning a trip too (unfortunately it didn’t happen). But I have the case ready for when I can travel! 😆
Great video. I have the same pencil case and store all my watercolor pens and brushes. Plus my koh i noor mondeluz and Derwent Inktence. Its such a perfect way to make up a kit and have everything in one place. I love those cases. Thank you for sharing.

I got a hanging toiletries bag and I keep my art stuff in binder pencil bags in it like a portfolio the brand I got is narway it has lots of pockets and can hold even tall cans / bottles
That's a beautiful travel case, good capacity, lovely color. The watercolor set fit quite nicely too. Watercolor is my favorite medium although I'm not really good at it but I find it to be quite relaxing and fun. Any new art stuff is exciting. Enjoy!!!

😂😂😂 well truth be told if I’m going on a residency I’m taking a suitcase of supplies haha but for regular vacation I try to limit myself to sketchbooking then let the inspiration build up so I can burst when I get to my home studio haha
I have a similar pouch and when I go somewhere I take it filled up with my color pencils (well it’s where they stored anyways 😂) and I take things that inspire me and empty it in the back pocket but generally I don’t take this one in my daily bag bcs it end up being too heavy, I take a regular pouch as well with my basics (pencil, microns and ink pens, glue and cisors !) and pick some of the stuff I put in the big pouch (or I empty the big pouch and take only the think i will need in the day in it). I recently found those watercolour palettes that looks like paint testers thingy and it fits in my regular pouch ! And my go to sketchbook is one where I draw the stuff I saw/did during the day and stick all my tickets or even flyers in it. I have to say generally I take my drawing stuff everywhere but end up not even drawing 😂

Hey Fiona! I love the add/subtract-ability of the "pages" in your travel art organizer. It's the perfect size, and like Ms Marvelous said below, "you can practically fit a whole studio in there." Since I threw together a cheap lightweight travel art kit (copy paper folded into a sketchbook, a few graphite & colored pencils, sharpener, eraser, tucked into a small front pocket of my backpack) a few years ago, I haven't taken the opportunity to improve on it. But now I'm feeling inspired. Thanks!

my favorite art supplies? I have a lot of them, but I mostly use brand items: Arteza, shuttle art, etc. What I like to use in my usual day to day sketching and coloring are: 1. Sakura Micron Ink Pens (set of 10) 2. Graphite pencils (average set; these have no name and range from h,hb all the way up to 8b; my boyfriend gave me these for christmas!) 3. 172 prisma color pencils 4. 270 shuttle art markers 5. Pentel Erasers (about five to eight of these guys) 6. Pentel CHAMP Mechanical Pencils (hb, 0.5mm lead) (set of 24) 7. Prismacolor Kneaded Erasers 8. Two Steel Rulers (just incase i lose one, I have another) 9. Graphite Chalk (hb to 8b) 10. Blending Stumps 11. Sharpie Assorted Markers (set of 72), (fine liners and ultra liners) 12. Crayola crayons....yeah I know...childish but who cares!? 13. Watercolor paints (masters touch brand. Too many colors!) 14. Pentel Aquash Waterbrushes 15. Black India Ink 16. A MILLION SKETCHBOOKS. (No really, a million....a pile of them sit in my room and they are all the same brand. (Canson XL mixed media sketchbooks or Strathmore Sketchbooks). 17. Feather Duster/Desk Duster (For cleaning up those pesky eraser crumbs.) 18. Sakura Micron White gel pens (jelly roll brand) 19. Whiteout !! (For erasing oopsies on my inked sketches) Anyway those are all my current main supplies. If you have any you want to suggest and see them added to this list let me know and I'll buy some more! Thinking about getting a light box but not sure what good that will do for me..... should I invest in one? I know I'm rewatching video as I wanted to see the travel bag you use but bic pens have multi color pens set in anniversary pkg from walmart each pen has three or four colors inside it also theres one that comes with lead I've been trying to find it at our local stores but I'm gonna have to order it... theres also a great store called st louiscart store they got some items from Japan that look really interesting like their travel bag...it might go on my xmas list....mikelle ny mom

Ohhh, I have that exact same pink pencil case! I took one of the sleeves out of it to make room for my sketchbook and watercolor palette in the back, but I lost it and now I need it for more pencils. Gonna have to buy another one now. LOL
thats a nice carrying case for supplies 😀 fits sll that you need I stopped bringing art supplies when travelling, never used them and they took up packing space
I bought a kavu sling bag for my plein air/travel stuff. I can use it for my purse stuff and it’s comfy to wear. I love seeing what others use! Thanks for sharing!

I took out two of the pencil holders and put my smaller pencil case, a tiny altoids tin with 6 half pans, a dozen tombows, sharpener, erasers, my inktense blocks and still had room for my essential watercolor pencils and water brushes and washi tape. Used the one pencil flap for my essential colored pencils. I change the colors/palette by the season. I'm enjoying the compact kit, I can even use on the plane with ease.

I wish I could learn to travel light as you do. My travel case is a large med kit on wheels. I jokingly tell everyone that it’s my studio on wheels. 😂
