For me hard flips are a bit hit or miss. If they go too vertical, almost pop shove it style, I think they're pretty ugly. But when they're more like a varial type flip, it can look very good. Then again, a hard flip with muska style pop can look very gnarly too. I definitely agree with front side flips.

I think varial heelflips looks good because the front shove rotation and the heelflip rotation are almost the same. But on varial kickflips the kickflip rotation is generaly faster than the back shove rotation. That's why v.heelflips looks so good and v.kickflip are often "ugly"

If you want a tip on front 360.stand like a regular fs 180 and angle your backfoot until you inside heel almost hits the board or touching. Then try to look as far back over your front shoulder as you can. Then pop and never lean backwards that will hurt ... allot.
In Transworlds ‘videoradio’ from the 90’s Tom Penny does a nollie hardflip over a hip in a skatepark covered in graffiti. That particular one always stood out for me. Looked so good 😊

Backside Smith Grind... always and forever... nothing fancy, just pure, long, smooth backside smith. Front Smiths are great, but a stylish back Smith is legendary...
I try to never be biased but dang Ryan Sheckler lands so gingerly and also lands very well even on steep angles... The best is ultimately absolutely subjective but Ryan has some smooth, clean technique not just with kickflips either. 🙏♥️
I've got a soft spot for boned ollies, hospital flips, hardflips, heelflips, and all manners of an inward heel. I used to do inward heels like clockwork in Skate 3 because I just loved how they look. (mostly nollie or fakie)
Nollie pressure flips/ nollie hard flips. I do nollie pressures that look sick! But when I ride fast, a nollie pressure turns into a nollie hard flip. These catch high up in the air and they're sooo easy to get height and to do off ledges and into banks.
Years ago, when I played Tony Hawk's, I couldn't stand hardflips since I thought they looked out of place because they were loftier and looser looking than the other bord varials. Now they're by far my fave since that's what makes them stand out. The other one I always wondered was "why do a heelflip when you can just do a kickflip?" Sometimes the spot just calls for it or that's just what you're in the mood for.
I think the best looking tricks are Ollie Norths, Ollies, Heelflips, Boneless, fast plants, 180 no comply, darkslides, Japan airs, and Method grabs. I think ollie norths are my #1 favorote to see.
Varial kickflips are awesome. Especially ones that are scooped forward properly and flipped fast, then they look amazing. And yeah, I don't agree they're the 'beginner tre flip' and therefor 'ugly'. A well executed tre flip doesn't look remotely the same as a varial kickflip.
best kickflip used to be kerry getz but LUAN OLIVERA HAS THE BEST FLAT GROUND FLIP TRICKS! they are not only done perfectly but they are ALWAYS HUGE i love his style!
In my opinion, it's usually not all about what the trick is, it's about how it's executed. Like some skaters can make a pop shove-it look epic and other skaters can make a nollie laser flip look unimpressive. It's all about style.
