My sis was my inspiration and when she took hers out, it wasn’t but 2 months after that I took mine down. Now I have locs because I want them for myself. So, definitely comb them out and see how you feel. Locs are for sure a personal journey, and I love them even more now that I did this for myself
lol nooo follow what you are being lead to do. trust me i loved every bit of my journey 🥰 but i also know when to release myself of things that no longer are part of my journey. but thank youuuu girl ❤️❤️❤️
I am realizing that a lot of women who have had their locs for a while begin to get the “the grass MUST be greener!” syndrome. I hope to God this doesn’t happen to me. The lovely ladies comb out or cut their BEAUTIFUL locs off then 2 months later they’re back with starter locs established because they realized they made a mistake lol I’m like an old mom trying to understand the thoughts of my indecisive daughter. BUT I understanding wanting change! Do what you want with your hair!! Never be a slave to your hair. Whether it’s loose hair or loc’d hair.

Girl! I am literally combing out my locs this year after having them for 5 years. I love them still, but I am in a complete new era of deep self discovery and when everything must go it MUST GO! Whew, love the look both ways and so happy you are happy ❤
I honestly believe locs are not a permanent style they can be ofc but black hair is like the weather it changes with every season!! Can’t wait to see the new content 🙂↕️✨

Wow I have locs myself and started following you based on your lifestyle but the fact that you were also loc’d was a bonus!! nothing will change , I will still follow you lol hair is just honestly hair I know it took a lot for you to finally say “yes it’s time” I’ve had times throughout my loc journey that I felt I was ready to comb them out but realized it wasn’t time yet. I’m happy for you because although it’s just hair it’s powerful and I’m sure the feeling after having them all out was deep. I do plan to comb mine out when that day comes instead of cutting them. You’re beautiful regardless 🫶🏾💜
Your natural hair looks good. I combed mines out 2 months ago and didn’t ever think I would but felt in my Spirit it was time so I did it. I enjoyed my locs and the journey. Can’t wait to see videos on how you style it. Enjoy the new journey 😊.
I recently combed out my locs after 4 years and I feel much lighter. I am loving my loose natural hair even though I’ve had it in mini twist since combing them out.
I'm on my third (and hopefully final) set of locs. I combed my first set out after a year and my second set after 3 years. The length is so crazy when they're all combed out 😳
I have been contemplating combining mine out. I have double the locs you have, they are small and this has been my journey for 8 years. But good luck, I love the change. And congratulations on your pregnancy 🫃
Just combed mine out! Contemplated for a few years.... I love it lol had my locs for about 7 years. They served me well and that's not my last set but.... here we are 😊
Oh no😫😫. I know this is a decision you have made for yourself but I want to say that you have been one of my go-to loc content since I started mine 2 years ago. So thank you for making me want to keep mine🙏
I had locs before and combed them out after 3 years. Wore my loose natural hair in braid outs and silk presses for 12 years then re-loc’d in 2021. Now I’m 3 years in and still loving my locs. I think you have to do the “comb them out” or “cut them off” at least once. Then if you decide to loc again if you get the itch to comb them out you’re really clear headed about the decision. I sometimes get the “I wanna comb them out” feeling but, for me, I realize that feeling comes and goes and for now I’m actually happier loc’d. She looks beautiful and she’s gonna have so much fun on this new hair journey.
choley! this is crazy i never ever expected to see this pop up on my feed lmaooo. Welcome back to the loose natural side, meanwhile I'm trynna see what locs is like 😂

Welp… thanx for ALL the tips & good loc sista energy! Congratulations on the start of your new journey! ✨ I’ve been thinking about doing the same lately or just cutting it all off but it’s not my time quite yet. I will continue to follow your journey regardless love, I actually just did a boho bob on my locs inspired by the long bob you recently posted. Thank you so much for sharing this process as well! Once it is my time, i will def revisit this video. 😌
🪴 congratulations on your new hair and mommy journey!! I’m About to become a new first time mommy also, I’m almost 5 months and I wanted to cut my locs off so many times, but I dreaded ( no pun intended)! Doing my loose natural it’s so thick and long and my shoulders and neck would hurt me so bad. So locs have been my safe haven I’m three years in. And I know going into this new mommy journey I just won’t have time for my hair lol. But we growing!!! 🪴💚
Just did mine back in Feb! I wanted change after going through something traumatic! I am growing out my 4C hair and I am excited for it! Excited to see where your journey takes you!!
i didn't think you'd do it for real😭😂You're natural hair is beautiful too, length is still there❤.You're the main reason i loc'd my hair❤I think this method was perfect because you were also detangling your hair❤
I believe the decision to comb them out before baby comes was a great decision. Because I’m not sure about anyone else but locs and postpartum hair loss just don’t mix. I started losing my locs around my edges and just decided to comb them out so I can take better care of my hair.😅 it was a nightmare but I did retain length though, edges just short.
I haven’t been a subscriber on your channel for long but it was your beauty and your locs that drew me in. Nevertheless…With or without your locs you are still beautiful! I will remain a subscriber because you have dope content. I wish you well on your new hair journey, especially as a new Mom.✨🥰✨

I was hoping this was clickbait!!!! 😭😭 I thought you would wait until after the baby to make the process easier but I'm glad you decided to change something ❤ you look beautiful
Omg. Didn’t think you’d be conning them out lol your hair is still so cute! I love how it’s still healthy. This is my goal too. After I have my locs I want to transition to natural hair. I’ve never worn my natural hair out
I’m telling you now, after the baby comes, you’re gonna want those locs. It’s up to you to act on it or not lol but you’re going to want and need them just to get through the postpartum period.
I was thinking the same thing! Girl when that baby comes you might be wishing the locs was still there. You will have Zero time OR Energy to style your hair let alone wash & detangle.

@@THEREALCHOLEY That was a whole of hair for 4 years 😮 I just imagine if I ever decide combing out my 10 year locs currently waist length it would be a mission in it’s self my arms going to be hell of tried 🤦🏾♀️. You are welcome anytime 🤗
I am so motivated. I actually decided Monday I was going to cut all my hair off and then I saw your post and was like "wait!" MAybe I can keep some hair by just combing them out. I am on day 3. Im ok,lol. I am wondering if this is going to take all of 7 days with 80 locs to unravel. I am excited to see the end result. Do you have any tips of how to manage the afro after unraveling your locs? Such as hair treatments, all of those things that loose natural has to be mindful of when repairing their hair.
Thank you for sharing! I have had my locs for 7 years & I felt so bad at 1st about combing them out but like you say it’s just a feeling of growth & transition. Do you ever see yourself getting them back in the future?
Hey beautiful! 😍 I’ve been loc’d for 2 and a half years. I do plan to eventually comb mine out in the next couple years. I Definitely understand that after a while you want a change. I’m glad you’re happy! I am interested in your hydration bundle on Nima Naturals. Trying to take my hair and locs into a different era. I have the most difficulty with hydration and health. Are you restocking soon or are you considering not selling any longer?
I’m in the process of combing mine out now. I don’t think I’ll be able to do it in less than a week though. I’m only on the second row and my fingers are cramping 😭
I just started combing out my 10 month locs 😭 I had an uneven number so I combined two of them, but the ones I combined made it uneven in the front. Then I got it interlocked and it caused holes. So I wasn’t feeling it anymore and will start over when I’m ready. I want instant locs next time
@@THEREALCHOLEY i only had 77 but i didn’t take care of them so they were hard asf and damaged from dye, so it took a little longer, but the next set will be healthier

Wow your ending results came out looking so beautiful ❤️👍🏾👏🏾🤗 🪴. Wow that’s a lot of hair in that bag 😲.
GURLLL so much hair 😂 but that’s 4yrs worth of shed hair lol
& thank you so much 🥰🫶🏽
@@THEREALCHOLEY That was a whole of hair for 4 years 😮 I just imagine if I ever decide combing out my 10 year locs currently waist length it would be a mission in it’s self my arms going to be hell of tried 🤦🏾♀️. You are welcome anytime 🤗
Congratulations 🌱 you gotta try cecred on your curls now with a comparison video or reel
I knew this was coming
I am so motivated. I actually decided Monday I was going to cut all my hair off and then I saw your post and was like "wait!" MAybe I can keep some hair by just combing them out. I am on day 3. Im ok,lol. I am wondering if this is going to take all of 7 days with 80 locs to unravel. I am excited to see the end result. Do you have any tips of how to manage the afro after unraveling your locs? Such as hair treatments, all of those things that loose natural has to be mindful of when repairing their hair.
That last loc and the sound 😂 I was like why it sound like that 😭
You look good either way😍. Asmr of you combing them out??👀
Thank you for sharing!
🌱🌿☘️ super shocked but happy you’re happy! ✨
I’m in the process of combing mine out now. I don’t think I’ll be able to do it in less than a week though. I’m only on the second row and my fingers are cramping 😭
I wasn't sure if this was fr or not wow choleyy😭😭
yup fr fr 🤭
I just started combing out my 10 month locs 😭 I had an uneven number so I combined two of them, but the ones I combined made it uneven in the front. Then I got it interlocked and it caused holes. So I wasn’t feeling it anymore and will start over when I’m ready. I want instant locs next time
Girl you the whole reason I wanted to start locs ..😂 but I'm still gone do it I need to commit
yes don’t let me change your mind! your journey is yours and yours only ❤️ enjoy it!
I just combed out my locs too it took almost a month
Same, it was like 25 days
WHOA 😳 a month!!! how many locs did you have?
@@THEREALCHOLEY i only had 77 but i didn’t take care of them so they were hard asf and damaged from dye, so it took a little longer, but the next set will be healthier
Mine felt thin too when combed out my locs. In retrospect, I think it's the relativity of transitioning from locs that feels thick to loose hair.
I saw ur reel a lil min ago, now your video just popped up on my feed and i don't even follow u, new follow for sure lol.
awww welcome!! 🤗
That’s so crazy!!! The loc Gurlies are going Loose! I am a quarantine loc gurlie too! So I can see my self doing the same some day but I definitely want locs long term as well but this might not be the time
yes take your time ❤️ for some people locs are forever and others only temporary but still powerful :) lol I thought I was a forever girly but it was so time to release
Are u gonna keep them or throw them away. Currently on my 2nd loc journey. With 45 locs now. 1st set i had over 90. Wanted a thicker set. Btw I threw my 1st set of locs away lol
I hope we getting a wash day vid w the fro….😩
I was waiting for you to say "im just playing" when you said that one loc was thin because it was pulled in a fight lol
LMAOOOO sometimes you gotta show people you aint playing 😂 diff time in my life lol
