It said he generated 0.42 amps before he got a half a turn, then he stopped and got up, then produced 0. He certainly had the + & - backwards or cranked the thing counter clockwise and reversed the polarity hehe

Here's your problem Vern. There's a shorrrrrt in that wire right there.
The motor is a 4-6w AC synchronous motor. Produces high voltage but extremely low electric current at low rpm because windings are extremely thin
For bigger electric generators they use a driving force with more energy (e.g.: internal combustion engine) to power a generator with thicker wires and more turns. Also in generators like thomas edison's DC generator and nikola tesla's AC generators they use different methods of excitation like seperately excited or series wound or shunt generator
REMEMBER: IT IS NOT AN ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR; IT IS A SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR; THEY WORK DIFFERENTLY BUT ON SIMILAR PRINCIPLES
