As the man who got Simone into biking....Keep on truckin! I'm proud of you! To the hates who say she can't do this job...you clearly know nothing about her.
She’s right about it being a great summer job for College kids. Here in Orlando we just had a big college football game (UF vs Miami). We were out pedaling from around 3:30 pm till 3:30 am and I managed to make $1,011. Never thought it’d be possible to do such numbers riding a trike but man you get the right crowd and a good sweat together, and you’re looking at some good bank.
A lot of Pedicabs are 33+ gears (11x3)… Almost universally, effortless to pedal. My first time I operated one, when it was over, I asked a fellow operator why he looked like he was struggling so hard. “Sell the sizzle, not the stake” If you look like it’s easy, you won’t get as good a tip from those that ride, and less people will ride. People like to see you struggle, and are willing to pay for it. As he was explaining, a customer walked up and asked HIM for a ride, when I had all things going for ME… Better looking, better dressed, more comfortable and better looking pedicab, and a better rate card hanging on the side… Lesson learned. But in this video, I don’t know why she was out of breath lmao 😂
esalci83: That trike is lighter than the 240lb steel frame rickshaw I pull, and the comment about 400lbs of passengers, please. Try 1200lbs on some hills. I don't even open the doors to our shop untill eight o'clock at night, I don't even know why she bothered in the daylight hours at all with no events going on. Most chicks don't have the stamina for this job. End quote.
Man! As soon she said $100 in a day I started to laugh. Not even hardcore bike delivery guys make that much in a day. If they do, the amount of pedaling is insane. As a beginner, you're most likely to make $100 in a week. Especially if you're new to the area, the kind of bike you have, how busy and with the amount of messengers you have to compete.
Here in Orlando I average $120-$150 a night (10pm-3:30am) on the weekends. With big events you could see crazy numbers. Just rode all day yesterday for a UF vs Miami college football game and made $1,011 over 12 hours of pedaling. Totally worth it
@@realarker litreally doing this same thing from 11am till I quit its gonna be my first day and u of m vs ruckers new Jersey I'll report back on how much I get tipped!
In midtown, it’s not uncommon for Pedicab drivers to make $800 in a single shift. A single tourist lap around Central Park, runs $65 and takes 45 minutes - then tip. A lot of times, the driver is getting $100 bill for the effort.
Alibaba has some shipped directly to you from China I’m in process of ordering an ice cream bike. The normal pedicab is around 750$ +around 500$ for shipping and electric one is like $1400 +500-600$ shipping
Women aren't heavy enough to drive a pedicab. A woman who is in good shape isn't going to have the mass to keep the pedals churning if she's got 400 pounds of passengers.
I know this post is seven years old but dude...you surely meant *Some People* not "Women" because some women are capable of doing this job just fine, thanks. I am a pedicabber. I have a cab similar to this (also without electric assist). I frequently taxi 2-4 passengers - no problem.
What a stupid comment it doesn't matter how much you weigh to drive a pedicab if you know what you're doing you never need to stand while pedalling. I've seen woman pedicabers take well over 400lbs on top of the bike weighing in at over 150lbs. Don't post in a matter of factly way about something you're ignorant to.
been a rickshaw for 29 yr. i love all these remarks by people that know so much nothing about actually doing it
I'd love to do this! Sounds like a fun side hustle over summer
nice ... hardworking
Also… You’ve got to go to where the tourists are. MIDTOWN/TIMESQUARE/CENTRAL PARK/BROADWAY!

NY before bike lanes lol

Grats on the 1k day! Now try making that much in 25° with 5 inches of snow on the ground in Seattle lol.
@@thevikingwarrior11 I got you bud, my trike has 22" car rims and holds 3,300 pounds. The other trike we're building will have HEAT and AC. 🍷🍷😎😎
@@skytoll1did you build it yet? How did it turn out?
@@draf8517YES! I'm posting updates on my channel, the latedt update will be on Monday December 11th. 🍷🍷😎
How much you charge I'm curious. Per person or by the minute?

Inner cities should have mandatory bike lanes
She can do it... she just has to put the same fire she puts into reporting.
Who makes the best pedicabs, are the lightest the best?
Love from India 🥰🥰
I usually just work for tips.
God bless

Plenty of average size women pedicab in New Orleans.
Same here. On the weekends in Orlando I’m not out till 9:30-10.
👀
