And that's why we love the Raptors, they are the most exciting and electrifying team in NBA since the Vince Carter and Tracy Mcgrady era till the present. They need to make a blockboster movie about this Raptors team and how they scouted their players and coaches from different parts of the world to make this championship team.

This championship was extra special because it reminds of the old school days before super star teams when you had one superstar and had to have a strong team of players who were well coached in order to win.
Also nice to see a team that doesn't live and die by the 3 and that plays tenacious defense win it all.

He didnt even choke last 2 years that was all demar but of course all the blame goes on kyle cause he doesnt take tough fadeaways all the time and he cant dunk
- Hence the trade for Kawhi. Masai took a gamble on a player that when healthy could be terrific in the clutch. DeMar was widely popular as a Raptor but his playoff performances left a lot to be desired.
Lowry was the spark in Game 6. His performance that night was phenomenal!
Only casual fans who hate Canada think Lowry sucks lol. You have to have basketball IQ to appreciate what he does

Me too. Since I'm not used to seeing the Raptors advance further than 2nd round, I forgot how long the playoffs are. Kawhi's last shot feels like a life time ago now. It's great that us Torontonians and Canadians finally get to experience this. It's like sequence of great moments one after another.
- The Orlando series was their easiest series of the playoffs as it turned out. The Sixers, Bucks, and Warriors gave the Raptors three long and tough series in a row. Glad to see the Raptors grind it out and win all three. The Raptors of old probably wouldn't have made it past the Sixers series. These Raptors, with Kawhi leading the way, they weren't going to be denied this time. :-)

It still baffles me how the raps won it all. Beat the sixers with butler Simmons Harris and Embiid that’s an insanely talented group. Not only that but knocked off the bucks and their three point barrage and the MVP. Then beating the warriors and their core four as well. This was such an underrated run. Simmons Embiid butler giannis steph durant Thompson that’s not an easy thing to do.
As a Spurs fan, I'm really happy for Kawhi and Danny :)
The Raps were so humble this year. They'd make a big play and their only celebration was to jog back and play D. They had the focus and the intensity of a champion....that shit isn't optional.
Golden nugget of wisdom Kawhi’s mentality has rubbed on his teammates. Keeping his head down and was never showing off or being disrespectful after every highlight.

4:45 one of my favourite layups of ALL TIME. Instantly thought about jordan switching hands on his layup. The way kawhi sized up between his legs, then hop stepped right into the defenders chest, avoids the big by going reverse whilst on his way, great spin of the board and in. The announcers reaction was amazing as well👍🏾.

This was a great run and I’m so happy to witness this in my lifetime. There was a point the media had said the series was over against the Bucks but then Raptors took over with Four straight wins. The best part is going against a heavily favored Golden state in the finals and beating them four games at their home. A part of the championship still hasn’t sunk in. I guess when you lower your expectations, results will overwhelm and surprise you. Kawhi will always be one of the best to play as a Raptor and he had the best supporting teammates. They all deserved it and were destined to win it.
The raptors were down in the first three series at some point! ORL leads 1-0, PHI leads 2-1, MIL leads 2-0 and they were able to come back! Also the raptors were never down vs GSW!

The NBA script was already written that year, but Masai Ujiri and 2019 Kawhi went off it and changed history. Definitely one of the most dominant single season that a single player had in these past few years. No one was expecting the Raptors to win it all, it was an incredible time to be a fan. Bittersweet that it only lasted a year, still thankful for that squad tho.
