Lol right. Some of the fans already had their heads down on the first bounce and you could see embiid smiling. A roller coaster of emotions in a span of seconds
Their best moment in raptors history in his first year lol i don’t think anything Toronto sports have done in the past can be more meaningful and impactful as that shot to win the entire series in game 7
I feel this is kind of a glimpse at what is would have looked like if Hakeem Olajwon and Jordan played in the same conference. Only because Kawhi plays most like Jordan in this league currently and Embiid plays most like Olajwon.
As a Raptors fan I wasn’t impressed at all because the game was tied.. if the Raptors were down 1 that shot would have rolled out 100% because they are the Raptors. So that would would have been a story book ending if he made the shot when they were down 1 but that wasn’t the reality.
Come on now. MJs game winner over Ehlo is functionally equivalent to one. That whole Game "7" thing is just a technicality. Sure it was technically a Game 5 in MJs case but it was a win or go home situation. Had he missed the shot the series wouldve been over and they wouldve been eliminated.
PimpMyPeon it was an elimination game and they were down by one. But who cares this is just Awesome 😎.WOW. The 2nd greatest game winner of all time . This is just crazy
I was mad as a Boston fan. I told all my friends Sixers were winning that year. Harris was top 5 SF in the league aswell. JJ top 3 Shooters. Team was deep.
This shot is a testament to Kawhi's incredible work ethic. At 7:06 the glance at the rim and slight head-fake that gets Joel off his feet is what gives him the space to get the shot off. It's perfectly timed under intense pressure. Only hundreds if not thousands of reps get that result. Basketball as art.

As the comments above mention, VC truely put Toronto on the map, remember this was a new franchise which was really struggling to get people to watch the games, both in the stadium or on tele. That was the greatest ending to a game in any sport I have ever seen in my 40 years!!! Surreal!
Yeah it was great, but hockey has these dramatic endings all the time. Just happened a few days ago, St, Louis beat Dallas in Game 7 OT. Ask Barkley....he knows what's up.
7:28 "Laugh Now, Cry Later!" -Kenny Smith (May 2019)
That phrase sounds familiar, right? 👀
3:10 KENNY had no idea that Kawhi Leonard had that in his "Repertoire
Bag"
Kawhi Leonard. Captain CANADA. Thanks for this sir.
when this ball was bouncing on the rim, i was out on Dundas West wondering where the heck is everyone? there was barely any traffic in the city, i had no clue the nba was on haha.
I re-watch highlights from this game weekly.
I think everyone in the world just became a Toronto raptors fan , after that legendary game winning shot. I think it is the only game winner in a game 7 in nba playoffs history
Spurs fan who wishes we still had Kawhi
Tbh I can only imagine how far we could've got with Kawhi, maybe even met up with the warriors again..
@Don Jon ☮🙏
But Kawhi was Booed hard by Spurs fans back in San Antonio
@@lovejalo1978 that was just fans being fans. It's like the "You were the chosen one!" moment.
i blame his uncle 😭
Kawhi’s shot is normally flat and some what of a line drive. That game winner he put a serious arch on it, that just shows his versatility.
I felt bad for Embiid. His heart was broken. He gone be alright. He’ll come back even stronger next season
Kawhi Leonard was also on the losing end of a Game 7 when Chris Paul hit that crazy game winner in 2015. Also JJ Reddick and Danny Green played in that Clippers vs Spurs G7 as well.
I Know Demar Derozan Somewhere Kicking & Screaming After This Game 🤣🤣🤣
Jeff Review's
DeNothing should be showing us why he is great in SA, instead he is soft asf.
This is waaay bigger than Dame shot. he was fading, contested, with 4 seconds left on the clock, facing elimination in GAME 7!! That shot will be one of the most memorable shots ever. I was as geeked as seeing Ray Allen pull up over SA to take MIA to OT. #Legendary
Harder for sure
