Greetings! from the main voice actor, composer, sound designer and co writer of the upcoming full game (also acted main character on this demo but re did all of them 9000 times better haha) . We are still under development, ofcourse it's already very late. But it's coming. We had many different problems with things such as corrupted code, broken hard drive, even sabotaging taking their toll to our mental health but eventually there will be a much much bigger game (and a mystery)

The monster in the sauna said that "and you couldn't even get away your own head", and also that "the end of the world is here" or something about the Apocalypse happening. 🤔 so that would explain the sandy place... 🤔
Maybe the "drink moderately" part means that "your demon won't come out if you don't drink too much"? 🤔
I think it sounds so natural when you add stuff in Finnish here and there. Keep on going, you're amazing!

I think the monster was just one of the heavy metal band members that hang out in the Finnish forest.
I've heard a horror story of that you can meet the devil in the sauna if you stay there after midnight. At least you shouldn't disrespect him and if you did, he would skin you and at the morning people would find your skin but you're nowhere to be seen...

Here's the translation for what the demon was saying in the sauna. It got quite unintelligible in the end so couldn't translate everything.

-Yep, here we are having a sauna like it's the end of days.
-Oh me? Then what the fuck are you? Tell me that.
-What a chore warming the sauna was.
-And you still couldn't get away from your own head.
-Stop that stressing.

-Because the devil is sitting on the sauna bench with a spirit bottle in hand.

Oh cool! I thought I had played an early version of the game a few years ago when it was published in the Assembly game development competition but it seems it wasn’t the same one. There were actually two sauna simulators in the same competition, Saunamajuri and Palju. In the first one you have a buddy in the sauna and you can even chop his head off and toss in the stove. You can also meet a bear in the woods, chop it and get some sausage. Palju seems a lot simpler but looks better and got a better placement.

When I was a kid going to have a sauna my parents would say "Got to have a sauna, gets the devil out of you" and the vihta(birch whisk) was used to beat the devil out of you. So very fitting that the monster in the sauna is like satan.

I reckon the latter part is meta commentary on the nature of the demo - sort of an apology for not having more content, and a promise to work hard on the rest of it.

Maybe try My Summer Car? It's also a great game that's loads of fun, spoken in Finnish and subtitled in English. A great 90's finnish countryside simulator, with fun car building and driving mechanics.

I think you should try other good finnish games like Puupeli 1 and 2, Propilkki 1 and 2, Deluxe ski jump 2 and 3 (I prefer 2 over 3), Areena 5 and Hurvana 3. Majority of those are DOS games so it's not easy to get them working on windows 10. But I'd like to see you try those games!

Why do I get the feeling that the main character is the on a murder rampage and what we witness is some sort of flashback or limbo? It would not be a first time that some guy murders hes family in the woods while being drunk after sauna.
