It is my understanding that the mod Terrafirmacraft was made by the developer of VS for a well known block game. He also worked on the doomed game called HyTale, that was much anticipated by people from another similar block game about 5-6 years ago, but left because nothing was happening. VS has its own engine that is not Java. It’s one of the reasons VS is so pretty and detailed. Besides being a beautiful game, it has music that can’t be beat, and you can configure from plays continuously to intermittently to no music at all (a waste of good music). I like intermittently because you don’t know when it will play and often will play when you’re working on stuff or battling for your life and can set the mood. This game is so immersive in so many ways. I hope this doesn’t start an argument(s). Delete if I overstepped. ✌🏼

The pigs attack you because you are near their piglets. This change is probably the most annoying because piglets are tiny and hard to spot until its to late and the whole swine squad chases you down for miles.
It might be annoying but wild pigs and boars are known to be quite... aggresive Even domestic pigs have an aggressive side to them and may challenge their owners by trying to bite or ram them Plenty of historic tales of people getting killed by a boar that came bursting out of a bush, it's crazy how humans managed to domesticate them into somewhat docile creatures
Thanks for taking the time to do this. I used to love the OTHER block game until the dev team focused on things that didn't matter as much and I got bored. I'm just getting started on VS and so far I love the way they are developing it. I still have to learn a lot about it and this is saving me a lot of time so I can just get into the game.
I don't care if common copper and uncommon tin is cheaty. I for one love your playthrough *because* of the more "cheaty" options you chose, because I play with those options too.
What you were hearing just before the bear attacked was him drowning. He probably died from chasing after you into deep water. I’ve killed many bears like this, they realize too late that they shouldn’t have gone into the water chasing lil ole me. lol I don’t know if you know this, but with Carry On mod you can put chests, vessels and tree hollows on your back, I put the stuff like bushes and ore into the container, anything that you don’t need to be readily available. My favorite are tree hollows because they have 10 - 12 slots and in early game that’s invaluable.
Just got Vintage Story recently which made me want to watch some playthroughs, and I'm glad I stumbled onto your channel! Already a big fan of the (relatively) small yet tight-knit & dedicated community this game has, combined with how supportive the devs seem.

I've seen a comment about it being a HUD mod. If it is, then it's the one in the upper left hand corner because I don't use the other one.
I think Whole Lotta Tree Seeds should be in the vanilla game or the Devs should give all trees a fruiting stage and chopping down a tree during that stage should produce a lot more seeds. Many trees produce seeds/nuts which are either edible right away or with a little processing. Like putting walnut tree seeds/nuts into a crafting grid with a stone or hammer to produce edible walnuts. I had several oak, pine, and walnut trees where I lived growing up and you can eat what all three trees produce--especially the ABUNDANT harvest from the walnut trees!
@@KhaosSN I've actually looked into it on the games official Discord. According to Dana, one of the more knowledgeable modders, the issue arises from the nature of the mod itself. Instead it overwrites the vanilla files, making its compatibility with other mods dubious as if they try to call on the newest versions of those files they might react in unexpected ways. This means the issues go deeper than just missing animations, but since you asked, all of the tools in your game likely use the 1.18 versions of their files instead of the new 1.19 files. This results in all new animations just straight up missing from the game, knives don't have a the forward jab and grass cutting animations, axes aren't held by the head and don't have the new idle, spears behave in a weird way as well.
