- Hey Pedal Picasso Fans!!!! I bought a new Peterson strobostomptuner… so, we thought we’d test it out against all our other tuners… we’re 90% sure all of you will have 1 or 2 of these… so… how did they stack up???
Check it out!!!
Drop us an email at thepedalpicassos@gmail.com if you’d like to see us demo a certain pedal!

and please subscribe, like and share! …it all helps!!!
The strobostomp hands down best tuner. Easy to see. VERY accurate.
Excellent side by side demo. Huge help for me as I'm in the market for online tuner for the stage. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Useful. Thank you.
From the UK.
It's called backlash guys! When you tune up it takes up the backlash in the tuner (capstan)
Thanks Dave! Yep. That’s what it is!
Just picked up a Strobostomp Mini, it’s incredible!
I find the HX Stomp one to be fine. Especially, when you put it in Strobe mode.
It’s perfect at home... but I have old eyes... and sometimes the stage has flashing lights or the mid day sun... and the screen is TINY!!!
My strobo stomp HD killed my boss! So happy I bought it!
One of the first things I learned was to always detune below the note then tune up. Always made sense to me. Cool vid ;)
I love that I’ve played guitar for 35 years and there is still a MASSIVE amount of things for me to learn! It’s very humbling….
@@thepedalpicassos Me too brother. It's a good thing. Knowledge-is-power. I'm learning to do all my own maintenance & repair and (also) a deeper understanding of music theory. oNe LovE from NYC
I have tried all Boss, Polytune, Korg, etc. Nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to the Strobostomp. I can't even use the others anymore.
KORG!
Theyre all comparable. Boss tu3 w has a new buffer. Im going with that one
Yeah the tuner on my boss me80 is kinda hard to use cos it has no green lights to say you're in tune so i got the polytune 3 - it also has the always on feature and can daisy's chain ther pedals too unlike the mini
Yeah! I couldn’t find my full sized poly tune! I think it was one of those pieces of equipment that I lent to somebody and it just never came home
Some pedals offer both, true bypass or buffer and some don’t. For some players it makes a role. And some sum it up and play samba. I like sambuca
More simply put, if you tune from sharp to flat, the string will often bind in the nut.
Thanks Shawn. Yep! Tight nuts can be a pain!!
You guys keep me laughing! 😂
Thanks mate!
Always tune up is correct
Yeah! I didn’t know that! But, as they say, you learn something every day!
@@thepedalpicassos your vid was great guys thanks again and for sure at least your humble mate coz that’s how we all learn cheers again for great vid , maybe do a quick vid on cheap tuners vs expensive tuners ?? 👍👍
Try tuning your strings via a harmonic on the 12th fret. Your tuning and tuners will be more stable.
yeah! I have to admit.... i actually tune by ear 99% of the time.....
Love the korg pitchblack!
It actually lives on Rods gig board!
@@thepedalpicassos so does in mine 🤙
I love mine as well. Also have a Korg GACS and it's great as well.
What is the guitar my man with the yellow thinline playing?
It’s a 1972 Greco!
I was wondering why doesn't players include hardwire ht-5 or even ht-6 for comparison. It's also a polychromatic tuner as the famous one from TC electronic. And it is as good as.
We just got all the tuners we own! Ha ha ha.
I've been looking for this comparison but I couldn't find it. I think there's no sense comparing monochromatic with poliphonic tuners. They have totally different technologies.
Can you play ALL the strings at once to know witch string from the 6 is out???
only on the polytune....
you need a polyphonic tuner to do that. polytune is one of them.
Nice video! Which tuner do you prefer?
Honestly… I’m a massive boss fanboy and I have been for a very long time! The boss will always be my favourite
nothing terribly wrong tuning the "wrong way", just takes you longer and more tries before you settle in tune.
I tune “the wrong way” … Rod always laughs at me… But it worked really well for 30 years
Dude., all the tuners except the strobe was out of tune. the strobe never stopped when the other tuners said in tune. Therefore. you were not in tune yet. you must stop the wheel on the strobe completely put the wheel or LCD wheel at rest. At rest is just that, at rest = zero movements. This showed me when your other tuners said in tune you were still about 10 - 15 cent off. However. I know you have no practice with the Strobe, once you get a feel for how to put the strobe to a state of rest you should go back and do this again.
Which tuner was the strobe?
@@kevinalmeida3862 the far right one, peterson
It was more to the limitation of the needle mode. The boss and polytune actually have strobe display mode as well.
Am I the only person on earth who hates strobe tuners. Always hated them just can’t vibe
Yes it looks like it does everything but serving its main purpose. I think it sucks for intonation with this lotto/roleta wheel 😊
