This whole series is an instant-classic. From the surprise Ding Dong and Julian reveal to Chuck E Cheese to Bart doing nothing for like five minutes, this immediately became one of my favorite OneyPlays.
It has joined the likes of Worms, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Hitman 2 in Oney's Hole of Fame.
Dude, “POGGERS!” makes me crack up every time.
Plus it contains a Doug Walker reference. Always appreciated.
@@scarletbard6511 i feel like AI Dungeon gets slept on. Between the AI figuring out that prince andrew dr**ged that girl and took her virginity, that lady's pissed on shithole, ash's misadventures, and the variety of cast, there's a lot to love. Would love to see them go back to it again.

it's the logical endpoint for all animated sitcoms after 100 seasons
This game has possibly the most esoteric gameplay ever. Literally nothing about this game makes any sense or is in any way intuitive. I’m amazed Ding Dong had the patience as a kid to actually figure this insanity out.
That's what made him grow as a person

It genuinely feels like a parody of an old Atari game that would appear in a cartoon. It’s like what an old business executive thinks a video game is. Which is honestly strangely fitting for a Simpsons game.

When you only get the one or two games you play the one or two games. Besides it's nowhere near as unpredictable or complex as Planescape torment... where you can walk through a random door and end up in a different dimension and just be 100% screwed.
My favourite joke from this is the whole thing about bit-crushed laughs being funny to Chris and then when one happens, he just shouts "SEE!" and doesn't laugh

I love how Ding Dong sounds more cheerful during this play through. He really did miss Chris.
Marge was Mothra because in the one episode where Bart gets a tattoo, he wanted to get a 'Mother' tattoo in tribute to her, but they only got to "Moth" before he got caught.

Let's remember the first episode of these series was also the first DD and Julian return episode that got uploaded to the channel, after a long time since we last saw them.
And the first noise Julian makes after so many years was a Bart scream.

I loved “The Critic” crossover Simpsons episode as a kid because I had literally no idea what it was at the time (so it didn’t feel cheap/sellout) and I found this sudden new character quite funny. 🤷♀️
If you pause just as bart shoots the plunger gun, you can see the original bullet projectile before its covered up and replaced by the plunger
It's worse than that. The plunger head is just a giant bullet sprite but flipped horizontally and colored red.

Honestly I don’t know why I enjoyed this let’s play so much. Half of it is just them shooting the shit about the Simpson’s. I guess it’s just super relaxing
This and the lotr game are my favorite dingdong and Julian videos
I feel it's like the same reason the Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon Red playthroughs are some of the best:
it's a combo of the games having enough material to talk about while also having enough connections to other stuff to allow for them to reset the conversation,
The Oneyplays crew (and most likely the audience as well) have a childhood connection to the games, meaning that they are able to "enjoy" the games enough to, despite their flaws, have a good time
And the games aren't super intensive, meaning that the crew can focus on their comedy, while the parts that are intensive keep them mentally focused enough to keep their comedic senses sharp and keep coming up with new topics to talk about.
I'm glad they could talk about Simpsons, Monkeys, Nostalgia Critic, Mario, Goofy, and Fat Albert one more time.
Subsequently, if anyone is brave enough to stomach all of L. Ron Hubbard's Battlefield Earth on audiobook, Nancy Cartwright, who does Bart's voice, plays a young boy in the full cast version. It's the highlight of the whole trek through whatever it is you'd call that supposed story and initially it's charming and then it's not.
Shes also a major Scientologist, she donated over 10 million to the "church"

Fun fact: in the commercials Chucky Cheese's voice actor was the lead guy from bowling for soup they also did the theme song for Knights of the zodiac (English version of Saint Seiya).

Is it just me or does It feel like Ding dang is laughing more. Makes me happy either way that this happened and sad that this would never happen with SBFP.
DD has seemed more jolly since they came back to finish Pokemon Red and KH2, the end of those playthroughs have some of the loudest laughs I've ever heard from him.
I'd like to think DD and Jules would get along with Pat and Woolie. They all seem pretty easy to get along with and I'd watch some kind of collaborative effort.

@@Mechagator I love how much of a nerd he is to the point that he found out the school he went to when he was younger was using a keylogger without permission recording everything the students typed etc. He was typing a paper and they kept deleting what he was working on. He said that's why he doesn't have a lot of good childhood stories because crap like that but I love the fact that he's a nerd and got into coding and making video games and everything he's doing.

There was an episode where Bart becomes a pro gamer for Springfield and plays League of Legends against pros in Korea. Not even joking, this was an episode.
