In crash, half of the polygons on the screen are on Crash's model and the creator of vegigietales wanted to make sure most of the character detail went into the eyes. This is good character design practice.
I can totally see that. As an adult, the adult characters are far more relatable. I mean Stu is basically me now. The babies gradually got worse with their intelligence and perception of the world as the series went on.
There's a VR chat world that emulates playing this entire game from start to finish, including cut scenes and for some reason every time Stu is on screen he's busting a fucking groove.
