Thank you for all this information! I love oncidiums. Do they need a cool period in order to spike? I have a brassia Rising Star that looks sooo healthy but has never spiked.
I do know it is based on plant oils, (100% if I recall correctly) however I do not know the actual plant oils used. I think some of these may be Australian Native Plants. It is effective and is widely used in Orchid Circles. Eco Oil MAY have a data sheet online......
That one is an original hybrid by Clive Halls and there is only ONE of them. Its called Odontioda( Oncidium) Beenak Beauty. Hello Charla, if it is the pot I think you mean, that is sphagnum moss. You can also grow then in that as a medium and it is better if you are sending the plants by mail order. We have a seperate video coming on different growing mediums.....

I left backbulbs sitting under the plant table to be thrown out, after 3 months with no water I noticed 2 new growths
