Great video Love your in depth explanations, you covered a lot of little details/tricks that many other tutorials dont include. On the question of using the multi limpet controller for prospecting, you dont want to do this, the mining multi is class C, prospectors are funny little guys, they directly effect the yield in laser mining based on their class (Class B yeilds more than C, Class A yields more than B, So always use class A for laser mining), also there is the option of the operations multi controller, It also has 4 collectors but they are class B instead of the C class mining multi, the B class has longer range and lifespan compared to the class C. Another great ship that is between T6 and Python is the AspX, it will set you back 10 more million outfitted than the T6, but is a great improvement. Looking forward to part 2 😀 o7 Hugh

There are a few other ships that are good for laser mining: Asp, Clipper, T7, etc, but If you're starting from the beginning, there's no logical reason to use them. Money is so easy to get now that you can get to a Python very quickly. If you had enough money for an Asp when you wanted to start mining, it would be better than a T6, but starting from the beginning of the game with a T6, it wouldn’t be sensible to waste time getting an Asp on your way to a Python. That what I was trying to say in my clumsy way.

I like just mining everything that comes at me, and for that, 2A refinery isn't just good enough, I spend a lot of time probing rocks, with the right combinaison of ores...
That's OK if it's what you want to do. There's no right way to play the game, but it's very inefficient in terms of how much money you get for the time you put in. Also, you have the problem that the best prices for the different commodities are in different places. It would taketoo much time flying around to get the best prices for multiple commodities, so you're giving away a lot of your potential earnings. As an example, normal price for platinum is 50k, but you can get more than 5 times that in some places. If you went to one of those, you'd get 280k, but then you would get a low price for anything else you had.That's why you can earn a lot more just by mining platinum and leaving everything else - probably 7 or 8 times as much for the same effort.

Great video, really helped me to get started. One small point, your linked build for the type 6 has a collector instead of prospector.
That was a test to see if you understood the video. You passed with A+ grade, so I've corrected it now.
