This is a great video and I hope to see continued content from. Things never seem to go the way it should for me. I get to these HAZ RES sites and I'll get a few scans then out of nowhere they start attacking when I have no cargo in my ship. I guess the haz sites are more dangerous than they used to be.
The pirates will attack you if you have any cargo in your hold. You should be able to outrun any as long as you start running before they attack. If you log out during a mining session, you need to be ready to run as soon as you log back in. About 10 to 20 boosts is normally enough to run them off the radar and a bit more to be able to mine in peace. It also happens when you got an accidental bounty on you. In that case go to a station in any low security system and the Interstellar Factor there will sort it out for you.
Yes, it is better, but I started with Inara and got used to it. I always struggle to understand some of the tables in EDSY, while as the info just jumps out at me from Inara. I also like the way Inara gives all the info under the offence and defense tabs in a nice easy to understand way.
@@hughjardon3538 Off Topic: I have zero interest in Thargoid Combat. With the Thargoid Invasion, I am interested in transporting goods and Pax Rescue missions. The alien environment of an active Thargoid System has me a bit concerned over survivability . Perhaps fodder for a future video on perspective builds for the activity and any differences to the normal activity. I hope to hear your thoughts on the subject.
@@williamvorkosigan5151 Thanks for your comment. I'm busy his week, but I will be looking at thenew rescue and supply missions next week. What I already know is that you need a very cold ship. Using heatsinks in supercruise prevents interdiction, and I reckon that you need a lot of speed. Maybe an Orca or Clipper would be a good choice.
@@hughjardon3538 I am currently doing Rescue Missions in a Python I bastardised from one of your builds. I have no fuel scoop but I have retained Guardian FSD Booster as they are still 4 - 5 jumps each way to the Rescue ship (with V1 FSD). So far, I have not found a large station, they are all outposts. It has been fairly safe so far and I have done 5 or 6 with only 1 supercruise interdiction. I got a bit dinged up but got away. I might get one of those Sirius extra Heatsink Ammo launchers and pop them now and again in supercruise. The pay-out isn't great.
When you enter a haz spot that is supposed to be platinum rich, how long should it take you to find good rocks? i seem to go through about 20 limpits before i find anything. thanks for the videos, they help a lot.

Just realised i was going to a 20% area, will try 85%
Just go to the one in Paesia or Macua unless you're trying to fully optimise.
