Thank you for showing us this. It brings back memories.I’ve been there pre- pandemic when it was really crowded and the food was always hot because they were always bringing out a new pan. I would also like to be able to get a single meal as I cant eat that much from a buffet. My favorites are the salad with hot bacon dressing, raisin bread, potato stuffing, turkey breast, fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potato, brown noodles, vegetables, cheesecake and the bread pudding. The Amish call chicken and dumplings, chicken pot pie. Turkey Hill has a tour called the Turkey Hill experience in Columbia PA near Lancaster. They have interesting exhibits and you can taste their ice cream and iced tea. You can also create an ice cream flavor. I think the Millers winery and food shop are new as I remember they had a food shop in the main gift shop when I visited. Regarding the price as you showed you were able to get a coupon for three dollars off for each adult diner, do that’s good. I think the price is still reasonable. I live in the Philadelphia suburbs and all of the restaurants have raised their prices really high. I went to Not Your Average Joe’s yesterday for lunch. They had a roast turkey dinner. I got that and an iced tea. With tax and tip it came to 30 dollars. The food is very good but expensive. It was not all you can eat and no salad, soup or dessert. A slice of pie was 8.50 extra. A side salad would have been 2.50 extra and a cup of soup was over 7 dollars! They do give you free focaccia bread and dipping oil with your meal. I’m not a big eater so I brought home more than half of my food. I like the food and the tables are not on top of each other, so I still go there every once in a while.
That hot bacon dressing reminds me of my mom teaching me to make it in the early 1970s. We would then pour it on fresh spinach to make a "Wilted Spinach Salad", adding crumbled bacon and onions. Thanks again for sharing! You reminded me of a salad I had long forgotten! 💜
Enjoyed this video. I agree 25.49 per person is a little high. Average person can't eat enough food to justify the price . But it is a extremely nice place and the food looked amazing. It also looked. Very clean..Thanks for letting us tag along for the fun.
Agreed 💯. Salads and carbs are referred as fillers. Restaurants want people eating those foods instead of the meats and seafood. That’s how they make $$$$$$$$
As someone who was raised on Pennsylvania Dutch food, I was happy you corrected the mistake of calling chicken Potpie, chicken and dumplings!! 😂 it’s a big family argument in our household!! The kind with the crust, we call meat pies! my husband is Italian, so we have the same kind of arguments over sauce vs gravy! 😂
It’s a different food culture between Pennsylvania/Jersey and southern states but there are a lot of similarities. I think meatloaf was more popular in the south and Midwest states.
Once again guys I want to say I'm on video number two of your next stop the food it look really really good and once again it was making me hungry hopefully someday as I said I'll get a chance to come to Pittsburgh PA cuz I live over here and Richmond Virginia and maybe I'll get a chance to visit those places thanks for sharing your adventures and I'm going to go on to the next one as I finish typing this one you guys be safe and God bless and good eating.
I grew up with pickled eggs, but never saw them anywhere in the tidewater area of VA. Then I started thinking about the fact that my grandmother grew up in PA before her family started moving to the new Mennonite colony called Denbigh in VA in the late 1800's-early 1900's. That's where those delicious pickled eggs came from! :)
Another great video 👍 I'm with Bobby I love salad when someone else prepares it my husband is with John he always says to me when we are on cruises have you seen all the good food !!! 😀 the food looked good especially the desserts I always check them out first to make sure I leave room . I love you try so many different places
Being raised PA Dutch, chicken pot pie is called pot pie because it's made in a pot. The dough is rolled out and cut into squares, then dropped into the pot of boiling broth. The kind with the pie crust is called chicken pie because it is like a pie with a top crust..
We have gone to Millers for years. We went again in May and were disappointed to find out they only had the buffet, we can’t eat that much to make it worth the price. I hope they bring back the single order dinners! I have watched several of your videos and always enjoy them. Thanks for posting!
Oh my goodness, I remember Miller’s. Wow! That was right down the street from the Soudersberg Motel and that windmill restaurant if I remember correctly. Thank you so much for sharing these PA places, Lancaster was always a yearly trip of my family and a group of family friends, such wonderful memories.
Yes, "that windmill restaurant." 😝 It's a huge embarrassing landmark and gives a false impression to naive tourists about Pennsylvania "Dutch". As locals know, they're Amish, Mennonites, Bretheren or originally Pennsylvania DEUTSCH. (Germans). At least they sell crafts made by locals.
This brings back memories. Before my friends has their children, we used to go to the outlets twice a year and dinner was always Millers and they never disappoint!
I have been shamelessly binge-watching your vlogs. FABULOUS to say the very least. You two are a fun couple to watch, and your reviews are tempting me to leave Sin City and move to Tennessee.
But Right down the road is Deinners and that food is great and prices are excellent. You both ate there and you loved it. We drive right past Miller's bc of the price.
What a nice selection of food. I think I’d pull my chair up to the vats of gravy and just stick my straw in it. Yum. I was telling Bobbie to pick up the chocolate pecan pie, but I guess she couldn’t hear me. 😂 Were the Santa’s having some type of convention ? That was cool to see them. Thanks for sharing. 💕
I eat at Miller's almost every time I come to Lancaster because it is one of the few places that is open on Sunday. I agreed with John that their buttered noodles aren't the best in the area, Katie's or Dienner's have better I think. and Bobbie I didn''t like the mushrooms either. Your blouse is really pretty today. Have you all been to Yoder's in New Holland? I recommend them although Miller's building is prettier, but the food is better. (Not that Miller's isn't good) Another great video.
Miller's is our favorite place. The food is so good. As locals we go during tne off season when it is buy 1 get 1 free and for our Anniversary each year. Love the food. We think it is the best in all of Lancaster County
Great video, guys! We went here after a show on a Sunday a few years ago because Shady Maple was closed. It was OK, but it doesn’t compare to Shady Maple. We’ve been to Shady Maple a few times since Miller’s and it’s on a different level of quality.
My son swam at F&M NJ YMCA State Championships several years running, and we ate at Millers each visit. Great food! Probably more food than I can justify at this point, but well worth a visit if you're hungry!
It is awesome that your son swam for the state championship. I wish I had learned how to swim when I was younger. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎😎
As usual guys ya'll did a outstanding job on the video from Miller's,but I do agree with you 100%,I know without a doubt,I can not eat $25 worth of food for one visit,no matter what they may serve on the buffets,so in order for me to even consider going into a place with prices that high, there would have to be something besides the buffets involved,I have tried places similar to this before, with prices roughly around that of Miller's,and me and my wife can never come out spending that much even if it is all you can eat,we never get in were close to our money worth, but you guys did super on the video as always, keep up the great work, and keep the new videos coming
I love your Amish videos, you must live in that area? I heard at Shady Maple you can have all you can eat Prime Rib. If that's true I would be planting myself right there! Another great video guys, I enjoyed it.
Miller's is one of my favorites!! There's room for me to park my semi. Can't believe you didn't try the chicken-n-waffles, or as I refer to it as chicken Ala king on a waffle. Good stuff.
Love all your videos especially the eateries I wish we had. Ore of those places around the Chicago area but no buffets left yes $25 is a little high to eat when you can’t fit in all that food!
I kind of agree with John about spending that much and filling up on salad, however I LOVE salad bars! If I could have a salad bar in my house, I would. There's so much variety on them, but it's too much work and expense to buy all the ingredients to have all that on a salad at home. We used to have a restaurant here called Sweet Tomatoes (it was a salad bar, pasta bar, soups/potatoes, bakery items, etc.) but they closed last year. That food all looked so good. My mom used to make a hot bacon dressing for a spinach salad she made and it was yummy.
Yum... Shoo fly, Chess, maple creme and pecan pies, my favorite. Have you tried in Ohio, the Amish Door Restaurant I'm Willing? So good, family style and over 50 fresh homemade salads at a salad bar.👍
Question NOT SURE WHAT STATE ARE YOU GUYS IN ??? AND HOW FAR WILL YOU GUYS USUALLY TRAVEL TO DO THIS FOR YOUR CHANNEL LOVE HOW DETAIL YOU ARE THAT WHAT SET U APART LISA SHARING LIFE STORIES FROM MICHIGAN GOD BLESS
We live in West Virginia. Bobbie will not fly so we try to stay close to where we live. That's why we do Amish and Pigeon Forge which is our favorite place to go. Appreciate you watching us. We just try and be ourselves in the videos. Glad you enjoy them. 😎😎
Have you been to the manor buffet? It's just up the road from millers in a strip mall. They have everything. American, Mexican, asian, sushi, hibachi. It's good. We have been to millers. It was ok. We actually prefer Hershey farms. It isn't as big as millers, but it is really good.
Have Been to the Manor we got all you could eat crab legs a few years back before crab legs raised so much. We really liked this place maybe we will go back some time. Appreciate you watching 😎 😎
I would have the roast beef and some turkey with gravy and mashed potatoes and shrimp and cheese and a bit from salad bar.Bread pudding and whip cream and fresh berries on one pie.Oh and a piece of chicken.
We were in Memphis for Elvis Birthday. We met Priscilla and brought home the cake topper from his birthday cake. We did videos from there that week. Check them out. 😎😎

I LOVE potato stuffing! When I was a kid, my parents had friends in Lancaster that we would visit. The lady was Mennonite and made that for us once. I got the recipe from her. Oh my gosh! Delicious!
Interesting. We have a Anna Millers in Hawaii. Long time popular restaurant. I've eaten there more times than I can count. Their pies are very popular. People go there just to buy the pies. But it's not a buffet though.
Love warm bacon dressing can't find it here in indy..Love turkey hill ice cream .Now Kroger isn't going to sell it anymore. I agree smorgasbord looked good but $25 ?
Hey J - thier is 1 thing that is always True - If the Food is great as it once was - when we were there - people will come because of that Food - price doesn't mean anything as its great Food - people Enjoy it. !! !! !!!
@@jbinthehills So sad, Linda's body was found in April 2021 after being missing for ten months. Her murderer confessed to the killing. Google the crime if you want more information.
In PA pot pie is dough in a thin gravy with meat. Meat pie is a double crust pie with gravy meat & veggies. Dumplings are small bisquits (not browned, boiled/simmered in the gravy) in meat gravy with veggies. PA dutch all the way!
That place was huge but it had a lot of stuff I don’t care about and was lacking in a lot of stuff I typically like to eat at a buffet. For example I didn’t see any pizza 🍕, baked potato 🥔 bar or ice cream 🍨 I also didn’t see any steak 🥩 or much pasta. I think for the price I’d prefer to just go to a cheaper place. But it looks like what you did eat was good.
Yes Amish Country is more about chicken and not steaks. This buffet is kinda high and most in town are this high. Have to eat alot of shrimp to make up for it. LOL. Thanks James😎😎
It’s a Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant. When you go to a Chinese restaurant do you expect them to have pizza and baked potatoes too lol. When you go to a vegan restaurant do you expect them to have steak?
Miller's looked nice but I think the price is a little high. My hubby and I are seniors and there is no way we could get our money's worth! It was nice to see hot bacon dressing. A local steak house had it up till a few years ago. I loved that salad dressing. If my memory serves me well they would bring 2 of the little containers of salad dressing. One would be the hot bacon drippings part of the dressing and the other would be their honey mustard salad dressing. You would pour both on your salad. That must have been their short cut way of making it. I see by googling that there are ways to make it from scratch. I didn't see any turkey corn soup on the bar! My aunt use to make the best turkey corn soup with leftover turkey after Thanksgiving. They lived in the southern part of PA.
Didn't see that soap. The bacon dressing is amazing and they sell it here also. We love it. And you are correct hard for most people to eat that much. Appreciate you watching and commenting 😎😎
I live less than 30 minutes from there Loved the “foreign cultural reference.” That is, pot pie You ate the pot pie that I grew up with. Friends from out of the area, like Philly, would come and visit and be totally confused at our “pot pie.” When I went out to foreign countries for the first time, like Philadelphia, I would be totally confused when they would call meat pies “pot pies.” I, of course knew better
About 20 years ago the orice for the buffet went up to 39.99 and all the food tasted steamed tasteless. Went back with daughter about eight years ago food was delicious and price went down to 24 dollars. Under new management.
Buffet was so fresh looking .Thank you for taking us along .Can t wait for the next video .😊
The buffet bar was fresh an very clean. Thanks for watching 😎 😎
Lol, I must admit I started laughing when you were trying to cut the ham with a fork, long live the knife😂 makes it so much easier.
That bread, salad and soup bar. Is really really delicious really delicious bread salad and soup.
It alot cheaper if that's all you can eat. Probably a better value. 😎😎

When the heck did you go? I've never seen it that empty. We always make it there once during our trips. Usually Sunday it's the only place open
We probably went on a weekday. I know the weekends are busy.😎😎
Thanks for watching and commenting 😎😎

In Lancaster County that chicken Pot Pie can also be called Slippery Pot pie. It was a staple in my family. We loved it.
Thanks for comment. 😎😎

We used to go there. It's closed down now for good. 😎😎
Bobby ate everything I would except for the mushrooms-yuk. That apple looked so good
It is a good buffet and we have been going here for years. Just hate you can't order off the menu now. 😎😎
I was a cook there back in 1989 to 1990.And they got better since 1990's.I fried chicken, and worked the saute/grill.
We appreciate you watching and commenting. 😎😎
I LOVE potato stuffing! When I was a kid, my parents had friends in Lancaster that we would visit. The lady was Mennonite and made that for us once. I got the recipe from her. Oh my gosh! Delicious!
That is so nice she gave you the recipe. Thanks for watching and sharing your story. 😎😎
We need the recipe!
Glory the history lives on
Great video. Love you guys. By the way, where did you get that hat John?
Thank you. John got his hat last year at Spirit Halloween. Thanks for watching 😎 😎
Interesting. We have a Anna Millers in Hawaii. Long time popular restaurant. I've eaten there more times than I can count. Their pies are very popular. People go there just to buy the pies. But it's not a buffet though.
We would love to go to Hawaii. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎😎
WOW THAT PLACE HAS A TON OF FOOD LOOKS SO GOOD
They have plenty to choose from.😎😎
Love warm bacon dressing can't find it here in indy..Love turkey hill ice cream .Now Kroger isn't going to sell it anymore. I agree smorgasbord looked good but $25 ?
I love the warm bacon dressing. They sell it here in their store in the restaurant. 😎😎
This may sound stupid; but how were the rest rooms?
They are decent size and clean.😎😎
We love Miller’s and went many times when we lived an hour away. We are now in southern Florida, seems we need Road Trip! 😃
Sounds like it. We enjoyed it and have for years. 😎😎
Never hurts to get on Santa's good side!

Their baked cabbage is so good, my favorite!!
Thanks for watching 😎😎
I love Shoefly Pie, too! The only time I have had it is when I made it. 😄
John gets shoo fly pie anytime we are in this area.😎😎
I’ve never had shoe fly pie. Is it like a chocolate pie?
It doesn't taste anything like a chocolate pie. It's made with brown sugar and molasses very sweet.😎😎
Americans are lucky to have such wonderful towns with good eating. I were to live in any of these towns I would need a bigger belly n big appetite
You can definitely overeat at buffets. So we try to take small amounts from different items to try. Thanks for watching 😎😎
Hey J - thier is 1 thing that is always True - If the Food is great as it once was - when we were there - people will come because of that Food - price doesn't mean anything as its great Food - people Enjoy it. !! !! !!!
You're right if the food is good people don't mind paying a little more for it. Thanks for watching😎😎
I’ve always wanted to come here. Especially last year when Linda Stoltzfus went missing it broke my heart that she disappeared out of Ronks PA 😢💔
The food is very good a lot to choose from. Did they find the lady?
@@jbinthehills So sad, Linda's body was found in April 2021 after being missing for ten months. Her murderer confessed to the killing. Google the crime if you want more information.
@@nancycrusey2238 That's so sad. Thank you for info
I love the Santa claus merry Christmas
Were you guys from Haddonfield? Great place to live.
Lol. No we live in West Virginia 😎😎
@@jbinthehills OK, thanks. I just saw the hat. Thanks for the great videos. Next best thing to being there.
we have been there, and the food is good. we went after going to the Christmas shop.
The food is good and top quality.
Do they offer gloves, since we're still dealing with COVID?
Don't remember if they did. If they did Bobbie would have used them. 😎😎
Look so good.👍
It was good. Thanks for watching 😎 😎
In PA pot pie is dough in a thin gravy with meat. Meat pie is a double crust pie with gravy meat & veggies. Dumplings are small bisquits (not browned, boiled/simmered in the gravy) in meat gravy with veggies. PA dutch all the way!
Thank you for watching and commenting. 😎😎
Never seen hot bacon dressing on a buffet. It's usually on a spinach salad.
They always have it on their buffet, and they sell it in their gift shop.😎😎
I love salad chicken look good too. Do you guys live in Pa.?
Food was very good. We live in West Virginia 😎😎
@@Redwhiteblue-gr5em Actually most of the Chinese buffets that I have been to have pizza. I don’t know about a vegan restaurant having steak though.
I live less than 30 minutes from there
Loved the “foreign cultural reference.” That is, pot pie
You ate the pot pie that I grew up with. Friends from out of the area, like Philly, would come and visit and be totally confused at our “pot pie.”
When I went out to foreign countries for the first time, like Philadelphia, I would be totally confused when they would call meat pies “pot pies.” I, of course knew better
Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎😎
I like your hat!!
Thank you 😎😎
Hopefully you went to Shady Maple also.
We don't go this time to Shady Maples, but we have two videos we did when we ate there. 😎😎

Been going there for over 40 years
A lot of food and good service. 😎😎
Nice video.
Thank you😎😎
About 20 years ago the orice for the buffet went up to 39.99 and all the food tasted steamed tasteless. Went back with daughter about eight years ago food was delicious and price went down to 24 dollars. Under new management.
