- Enjoy this unedited landing (to the south) into SeaTac Airport from downwind leg, to base leg, to final and then waiting to cross both 16 Center and 16 Left, all in 4k!
Real time ATC communications are included for this flight and related traffic, including the four takeoffs we had to wait for before crossing the runway. ATC comms include Arrival, Tower 16R, and Tower 16C & 16L.
Closed captions/subtitles are available for the ATC communications.
See some great views while cruising over the Seattle/Bellevue area and while sitting in the middle of the runways! There are excellent birds eye views of Seattle, Puget Sound, Lake Washington, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Kirkland, Boeing Field, Boeing Delivery, SeaTac Airport, and all of the surrounding neighborhoods. Also see takeoffs from SeaTac up close!
Highlights and timestamps are below.
This was Alaska Airlines flight 211 from Cancun to Seattle (hence the South Satellite arrival for international flights / immigration).
Alaska Airlines pretty much rules the Seattle market at this point with over 50% of all traffic in and out of SeaTac. Delta is second with about 23% of traffic, followed by United and Southwest, both of which are at about 6%.
Seattle Tacoma International Airport, aka SeaTac, handled 51.8 million passengers in 2019, ranking it #8 in the United States and #31 in the world.

Washington has good people, good places to have a good time, do not miss the opportunity to visit this wonderful state.
Agreed, and it's a beautiful state!
the state is amazing im lucky to live here. people on the other had its hit or miss on good people
@@RollingWithTerry Sounds like every state! :) Or maybe you are talking about the "Seattle Freeze"?
What a beautiful setting for a city! So many bodies of water everywhere. Must be fabulous this time of year.
It’s a beautiful area to live in and the summers are absolutely fabulous. Unfortunately they only last for about six weeks. 😂
@@WanderTheWorld Yeah I've heard about the rain LOL. Looking forward to visiting someday.
I know it may be an unpopular opinion, but Sea-Tac is one of my favorite airports at which to land. :) Beautiful video!
Thank you! What do you like most about Sea-Tac?
@@WanderTheWorld Most people don't find SeaTac easy to get in and out of traffic wise, but don't mind it at all. I hear most people say they'd rather go to PDX than Sea-Tac. Not me. It's the familiarity with the layout at Sea-Tac and the natural beauty that surrounds the airport. The Cascade mountain ranges, the water, the airplanes all around, the pretty mild weather, and the green trees 🌲. I know SeaTac has a real problem right now with not being able to expand, but I do like the airport. :)
Thanks for the excellent and thoughtful response! Scenery wise, I think there are few airports that can match it! And maybe it’s just because I’m familiar with it but logistically it doesn’t bother me. I can’t really see PDX as a viable alternative. And nothing compares with those rare clear days when you’re heading south and fly right by Mt Rainier. 🏔️
Terrific video! Seattle is so beautiful from the air especially on those southbound approaches. Nice ATC too!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
There I landed in 2018 and had the most beautiful summer of my life. Thanks.
So glad to hear it!
You can see a Cessna landing on 14L at Boeing field at 7:49. After this you can see all of the 737 MAX's that were grounded and undelivered. Nice video!
Looks like a small Piper to me, I think it's a low wing but I can't say for sure.
LOVE this! Always enjoy when ATC is included and it's fun to see and hear the traffic while you are sitting between runways. Really nice job on this. Subscribed!
Thank you very much, so glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
One of the most scenic places to land in the U.S.
That landing was awesome! So smooth!
At about 8:53 you were flying over my old 'hood of Boulevard Park. I lived practically under the flight path! I love 747s so much that when I'd hear on ATC that a "heavy" was coming in, I had to run out to admire it. Thanks so much for this! I live in Ohio now, and really, really miss the familiarity of the greater Seattle area. I could name just about everything I was seeing down there. It's cool you landed from the North, much more interesting than just flying over Tacoma and Federal Way!
Cool! And you're definitely right, it's much better landing from the North!
This is hands down the BEST Seattle landing video around! The views of the surrounding areas and geography are stunning. And the ability to watch all of the air traffic while between the runways is so unique. The ATC is just the cherry on top. Well done!
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! :-)
This is really cool. I flew from Chicago to SeaTac because I attended a high school for three years. I’ve always loved airplanes. and enjoyed several flights back and forth. Thank you to the Pilots and flight Attendants who made my journey to graduate with my high school diploma a success.
Excellent, good for you! And thanks for watching!
Southbound traffic is great for both approach and departure, but northbound approach on a snowy day is unreal. Seeing mt rainier and plunging through the clouds, then it takes several seconds to realize you’re below the clouds and everything is covered in snow and it’s just so majestic
Couldn’t have said it better! Soooo beautiful and majestic! 🏔️
It's so beautiful views from the plane in SeaTac, 👍👍👍. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Wife and I spent time in Seattle a few years back. We loved it. We wish we could afford to buy property/live there. We also found the airport easy to use, efficient, and had good access to and from the downtown area.
Thank you for showing this at my favorite atc airport!
Nice! Liked the atc sync. Consider doing this for the other locations you visit.
Thank you! Yes, the hope is to do more ATC syncs in future videos. Thanks for stopping by!
the block of white off to the left at the start i use to work over there and loved watching plains fly over
We arrived on AS128 via this approach in August 2021. I had the same perspective/view. I was able to spot a departing cruise ship as well. The Carnival Miracle maybe? But flight 128 went all the way up to Everett before turning downwind. So I saw some nice views of PAE and many green 777-9s. Very kool!
Great video and the ATC audio is awesome! Thank you for posting!
During high traffic density the aircraft (and if the wind is favoring the 16 runways), ATC does vector arrivals all the way up to Everett on downwind before turning onto base. Just depends on how much space they need between the aircraft and how many need to get down.
Beautiful video, miss traveling, let's hope the pandemic be over soon and we all can get back to normal.
My son’s voice I could pick his. Once out anywhere
I love Seattle, White Center, Tukwila, Renton, South Center, Kent, Tacoma, etc. I be back.
I've lived in the first four cities/neighborhoods (since WC is unincorporated) you listed! I'm a Southender through-and-through. Get me north of the U-District and I'm lost.
5:30-Husky stadium!💜💛🐺🏈
I have family that lives there.
Did you have prior permission to have your camera/phone out? Great quality, what camera or phone was used?
No permission is really required and the phone was in airplane mode. This was recorded on an iPhone 12 Pro Max at 4k 60fps. Thanks for stopping by!
Good ol Washington
😮😮😮😮😮😮
I can see my house 👀
What airline are you on?
ASA Alaska Airlines
is this real life????????????????????
Beautiful view but I’m curious if your attention is distracted while filming during flying?
You're joking right?
?? Tower operator rush for lunch ? why speak so fast
I figure they talk like they do because they're so used to it. They don't do it for the public's edification, after all.
It is all about quick and concise communication, a must at any busy airport. The happy talk is common at smaller airports, but the majors just keep it quick and simple. And for good reason...they are too busy for it!
