The Future Of Installing Plumbing Pipes!

- In this ASMR Plumbing video, I am installing new pipework underneath the floors to a new radiator using the best materials I could find. Instead of running copper underneath the floors and notching every single joist, I’ve decided to run the pipework in MLCP which is a multi layered pipe. The system is Tigris from wavin who makes some real quality plumbing materials.
Using this pipe means that there is no hot works as you are using a press gun on the Tigris fittings and copper press. This means that it’s able to use in some scenarios like schools police stations, hospitals anywhere where you don’t have to set fire alarms off or the risk of causing a fire which does make your insurance much cheaper especially if you’re doing pipework in a roof space.
The press gun I’m using is a Ridgid 241 which is super compact it comes with lots of different jaw profiles and the ones I’m using in this setup are U and M. The copper pipe is 15 mm and the mlcp is 16mm. I really think this is the future of Plumbing pipes instead of running copper all the way through the floors as the quality of copper has really downgraded in the last couple of years I found I’ve had many leaks in brand-new pipes and using this type of pipe, I can’t see having that same issue as it’s got a metal barrier on the inside.
The mlcp is so much better quality than the standard plastic pipe and fittings that just push over the top using a O ring and a grab ring. These fittings have an internal seal which is clamped using pneumatic pressure. I know it can be expensive, but I do think that the pros outweigh the cons heavily.
Using my Monument pipe benders on the copper pipe allows me to reduce fittings which increases flow rate and the chances of having a leak is very very small I think this is the future. Let me know what you think. If you like today’s Plumbing video, please give it a like comment down below subscribe with your new and I’ll see you on the next one.
