A customer of mine a few weeks back ordered an Aperol spritz with a shot of vodka and it was fantastic, we use white wine balloon glasses full of ice and 1.5oz Aperol to 3oz Prosecco, topped off with soda. All the vodka did was make it a little sweeter and added a slight burn, and left an ok amount of room for soda. I told her I'm keeping it and I'm calling it the Alcohol spritz. I want to try one with gin now that I think of it...
Great video, I remember not wanting to try an Aperol Spritz for the longest time because I assumed it was as bitter as Campari so I thought.. how can this be a refreshing summer drink? LOL ...definitely different but both great!
This was really good Jess. some good information. Although i might need to check my color acuity while your staving your taste gasims. i really enjoyed this video :)
I thought Campari smelled “dusty/musty” like a basement which I think smells good ! I really looove Aperol and love swapping it out in an americano to make it milder/sweeter/ less bitter/ more orangey for a summer drink. Aperol reminds me of orange flavored triametic I used to love as a kid 😂 Dolin Rouge /Aperol is one of my favorite combos. Both of them reminds me of grapefruit rind kind of bitter.
I have those two bottles right now next to my bed, Aperol is more delicate and delicious than Campari, but Campari is more intense in every way, which makes them one of a kind, I like to drink both.
We LOOOOOVE Aperol! We make Aperol Spritzes - but learned from my family in Italy to make it with San Pellegrino blood orange instead of soda water and it's indescribably awesome! (It's also tremendous with Sekt instead of Prosecco) We really like Campari, but lately... Aperol is our go-to, especially during the summer.
Love this!! Try it with grapefruit juice, the pellegrino, a squeeze of lemon and some sweetener (I like ginger syrup for this one personally, but a plain simple syrup will be just fine). Cheers!!
Great Video Jess. I was shocked you have not tried Aperol before, but I am very happy you liked it. And to be fair, I cannot really compare, but I had the feeling Aperol looked a bit more orange in the past. But maybe I am mixing it with the color of the Aperol Spritz. P.S. Campari smells like Grandma attic? It is indeed an old product, but come on.... hahaha Cheers!
Campari vs Aperol tasting. Why did you do this to yourself. This is the stuff of nightmares! Can you please try a Woodson and Ford cocktail. I found it on angrymans channel. It’s amazing. Will help wash the taste of Campari away for you
I just looked this up and saw that Benedictine is one of the ingredients... talk about the stuff of nightmares! LOL!!! But I'm intrigued, and that angry man has some great suggestions! I'll give it a try!
That was a great, in depth review/taste test and keeps me loving Aperol Spritzs! Thanks so much for your info!
Thank you for tuning in!!

I think gin would be a really nice compliment to the Aperol & Prosecco! Let me know how that tastes!

LOL!!! I'm telling you, in the bottle it's not as orange. Out of the bottle, very orange. Either way, it tastes amazing :)
Fantastic video!

Great comparison video! Love both these products 👍👍
Thank you!! And I agree, they're both great.
Aperol negroni....a great drink. Just dial back the Vermouth Rosso...so 2-2-1.5. Amazing

@@SavidgeKitchen Oooooohhhhhhhhhh! THANK YOU!
Just wondering...would a bit of blood orange go well with either of these drinks?
fully watched , I like your videos my friend . full support 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Campari took awhile to get used to. As for the Aperol it was much easier to like and enjoy.
Campari is definitely an acquired taste!
Definitely not interchangeable. One is for adults and one is for children. 😅
hahaha
One is for people who are looking for a cup of grandmothers basement. Both are for the mentally ill 🙃
Lol. That's one way to put it!!!
@Vino I found this comment offensive. 😮hahaha
Vino, cutting to the chase!! What about us adults who like to occasionally regress? We can has both??? LOL

@@SavidgeKitchen apart of loving your sence of humor often I think I enjoy more your honest reactions than the review itself. Cheers!
