If you came up with the design and pattern , then you are absolutely amazing. I have shown this to my french aunt who works in Paris for couture gowns and is a graduate from the French chambre superieure de la haute couture (45 years ago) , which is where they teach people all the secrets of haute couture dressmaking and she was quite impressed too. Whomever taught you how to drape and cut , is a professional and so are you . If you allow her one small critique , it would be to be more precise when it comes to details because this is what differentiate High Fashion from Haute Couture , it is the attention to detail , every millimeter (sorry metric here) counts , and when pleading you might want to keep that in mind , unless you were going for an uneven more relaxed look (not a critic at all) , in which case , you nailed it . The ruffled sleeves are a complete success , not too long not too short, not too ruffly either without looking basic , really stunning job on the sleeves . Too bad we don't get a clear view of the bottom part of the gown and how it moves when you walk in it . But for a 20 bucks fabric , this is a stunning result , you sure have an eye for pattern because you made this one and this colour work perfectly for this gown and with your complexion too .
She is too humble to say but i am not her ,... she worked for Yves Saint Laurent when he was still running the house as one of the Premieres , for Dior and for Versace (she worked on the grey dress used in sex and the city in Paris last message from my aunt , (she doesn't use the internet, she's 60 years old and that's just not her thing , but she likes to watch videos like this one) , if you ever visit Paris , let me know , and she'll be glad to meet you and compare techniques because she truly likes your creativity and for her this is exactly what true style and talent is , take something cheap , and make it look expensive , as she always says, The Manalisa is just cheap oil paint on a cheap canvas but it is still far more beautiful and valuable than a gold vase . Expensive material is NOT what makes something truly valuable , it is the work and talent of the creator .
Have a great day and if you plan on visiting Paris and would like to meet with some of the finest dressmaking seamstresses (she has a lot of friends in the industry) , let me know .

You are simply amazing. I'm sad I'm just getting into sewing so late but I'm all eyes and ears. People think I'm crazy for wanting to sew my own wardrobe but I need them to watch just a handful of UA-cam sewing videos. I dare them not to be inspired to do the same. I can't wait to get my sewing machine in a few weeks. With practice I aspire to create pieces like this.

There was a time when every girl had the opportunity to learn to sew from mom or at school. Those days are gone. People foolishly didn't value the ability to make your own clothes.I feel cheated I never got to learn this skill. Sewing should be brought back to our educational system. I know so many women like me who would love to be able to assemble and sew such a lovely dress.

Grab some aluminum foil and grab those dull scissors. Fold it in half twice and make slits all over it. (Slits as long as your scissor blades). This is gonna sharpen those scissor blades up! And of course, try and only use them on fabric. Truly does help them they stay sharp. You can just buy dollar scissors for pattern cutting. Lovely video btw.

This is absolutely gorgeous, the first thing I'd seen by you was the part one for this video (so I hadn't realized what an amazing seamstress and designer you were) and as impressed as I was with you finding enough fabric for a gown for $20 (knowing what I spent to make my prom dress making that all the more impressive) I wasn't the biggest fan of the fabric, at least considering how my tastes usually run. It was interesting, but I couldn't see something looking too pretty. But oh my word am I pleasantly surprised. The skill and vision put into this piece are amazing and inspiring. So many kudos, I am in awe, this is beautiful.
