Pokemon Silver Yellow - ROM Hacked

What if you took the Kanto region section of Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver, and... with many concessions and changes, reconstructed Pokemon Yellow version through that?
That's Pokemon Silver Yellow.
Created primarily by user brtatu and last updated in 2021, I played... unfortunately, an older version of the rom hack that doesn't have the things that would later be added, like mega evolution and other features.
There's Primal Groudon, Arceus, and Team Rocket events in the newer update... which again... I didn't play.
Maybe I'll revisit the updated version another time for another video.
I can only assume more recent updates have made the experience better, as my time playing through it was... not necessarily ideal.
I'll get this out of the way first, while there are various tools given to the player to make the playthrough smoother from the start, like multiple HMs being available early on, not everything that's needed to complete the game is provided, at least in the version I played.
After all, with no rock climb, I wasn't able to face the 7th gym led by Blaine or complete the game.
However, even then, still, I had a pretty decent time in this version of Kanto.
While you're not necessarily Ash in the same way that the original Pokemon Yellow aims to be, playing through the game as Red is a pretty neat feature.
Especially since it's the intimidating Red with a shadow covering his eyes from the bill of his hat.
When you're used to playing through this region as Gold or Cyrstal, playing as Red has a unique value to it.
