    I get so happy when I follw you. Just completed the sqaure, and I cannot stop smiling. I learn something new every day, and it keeps me happy. I'm 85, and been crocheting for 60 years, but you are one of the best I have seen. I keep you bookmarled in a file on my computer, so I never lose any of your beautiful patterns. You are a crocheting blessing.

    I just finished my first throw in this pattern and am starting on my second one, using different yarn. I can’t seem to get enough of doing this gorgeous afghan! I have also done four or five shawls in the Cloister Shell stitch, so that greatly helps in doing this. Thanks so much, Craig, for this great tutorial!

    You are fabulous. I’m visually impaired so I’m more focused on the audio. You give such thorough instructions that there’s little need to look at what you’re doing. A thousand thanks.

    Kinda new to You tube and really like that you're teaching crochet and have men joining in also. It's not all for women. Started a Prayer Shawl Ministry at my church bout 12 yrs ago after my husband's death to keep me from going krazy . Thank you again for this.

    Thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed this video and have started this pattern. I’m not fast, I just like the therapy of it. Also your voice tones and narration are the perfect accompaniment as I’m watching, calmingly reassuring.

    I have started this blanket and it is beautiful! Fiber I will upload a pic as soon as I finish it. Also, yes, I can see the butterflies and angels in the pattern. But, also realized the it has a Celtic pattern feel to out. You are now my go to crochet buddy! Can't wait to see what you do next.

      @@melodymaben5917 For blankets/decor throws I used two wheels of Caron Big Cakes. (he has the same crochet stitch in a blanket format on his channel) The way the colours roll out is just beautiful. I have used a plain yarn with a tweed effect also in a 4 weight. For shawls I have used the Lion Brand Baby for a lighter weight shawl. There are colours to suit everyone, not just babies. I have also used plain colours in a 4 weight for shawls. Very pretty also. Hope this helps. It is such a fun crochet pattern.

    This is one of my favorite patterns and have made several shawls since you first debuted it. I can't get over how much your channel has grown this past year. It's me, Helene B here, now under my own channel! I was the one who won your Amazon gift card last Feb., I think it was. The giveaway where you wrote down all the names on paper, cut each one and put them all into a bowl! I'd like to see you do that now, lol! Congratulations again...well done and well deserved. :)

    This is gorgeous!! I wish I had seen this a couple months ago. My good friend asked for a throw in white, this would have been perfect. I have to make one for his husband, but he wants navy blue, gray, and white. Any suggestions on how to do that, with this pattern, or do you think this would only look good in a single color? Thanks so much for all of your tutorials.♥️🕷

      Jan, I've been crocheting more than 60 years. (never tire) When I see an awesome pattern as this, I never do solid colors. When you finish about two or three pattern rows, change your color then.

    Any advice for creating even stitching? Some days my stitches are tight and some days they are loose. How do you keep them uniform?

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  5 років тому +1

      A good question! I used to have the same problem as well, I found that my mood often was reflected in my stitching - relaxed, tense, etc. For me, even tension eventually came naturally over time. Keep in mind that I've been doing this for nearly 20 years and that I work on average at least 6 hours a day at stitching. Keep at it, be patient, and it will come 😉
