That’s an unreasoned, unscrutinized statement. If reasoned logic is one of the two great powers in existence, shouldn’t we all learn as to its uses?

      It looks like you are a scientific empiricist skeptic, so let me state one of the scientific benefits of the pranayama: It expands your lungs' capacity (or vital capacity) tremendously. All organs in the body stay oxygenated with more oxygen stored in the body. Especially, the brain (which is one of the most oxygen-sensitive organs in the body). As a result, you experience mental clarity and "feel" more energetic.
