Fun fact with the name Demon. The Covenant call the Spartans Demons because they always come back even when they think they killed them. They thought it was just one Spartan which is why they fear them. They think Chief is a demon because he seems to come back from the dead. Eventually they learned there are multiple but they still call Chief The Demon because he always survives against miraculous odds almost as if he himself has some demonic power.

Small tip, the infection forms (the popcorn as you like to call them) can revive dead Flood bodies. Dead Flood bodies can be destroyed to prevent this.
Your videos came recommended after I was watching Halo lore vids and other first time playthroughs.
And I’ve been enjoying yours too. Your joy for the music, characters and world is how I felt the first time playing (and I still do) I’m all caught up now.

My favorite part about this opening cutscene is that Blur Studios actively chose to keep the phantom flying backwards mistake 😂
Something I noticed when I played Halo 2 and can never unsee. Around 3:00 when you see the Phantom flying down towards the Installation. It's flying Backwards. The little eye socket things that are on the front of the Phantom is... the front. While the little wings are on the back which, for some reason is reversed. The Brutes are definitely new to the technology of the Covenant, clearly, or they're that skilled with it that they learned how to efficiently fly Phantoms *backwards* lmao.

Oh wtf. Damn, that's so bad XDDD How could someone let that slip??
What's funny about that too is Blur Studios kept it in when they remastered that particular cutscene. It is there in the original graphics too which is why they stuck with it.

Years after playing these weird Alien levels I realised that was the point. Of course they're non sensical layouts, they're Alien. Then I realised the brilliance of them!
First day off in a week so I’ve been behind and now I get these bad boys to binge while I cook. Lovely

Lol, I always thought that the mission design in halo 2 goes down from that mission on.
But to me halo 2 has the worst mission design, anyways. It has its moments but to me most of the times the levels feel too long and repeat stuff you don't want to.

Imo, this was one of the best moments, storywise.
It has been YEARS since I played this game. I remember giving plasma rifles to the Grunts and carbines to the Jackels and suddenly they became OP!
It's like when you fight grunts on legendary and they fire the plasma pistols as fast as the rifles lol
@@DavidSmith-mt7tb dude the grunts and jackals in halo ce on legendary shoot the plasma pistol like it’s fully automatic 😂 like even 1 grunt can take out a marine on legendary cuz the plasma pistol stuns them, it’s crazy lol
@@SirAuron777 they are also aim bots for head shots and will suppress the crap out of you, dropping your shield like they'd used a charge shot. You can actually shoot it that fast yourself, but it's hard to do, and even harder to aim while doing it, at least if on a controller ,cause you're tapping the trigger like 5 or 6 times a second. If you're a musician, it's like playing 16th notes at 80+ BPM. A good drummer or bassist can probably keep it going well.

sentinel beams come in two varieties .. yellow and blue , the yellow does less damaged but it'burns through ammo slower , the blue does way more damage but burns ammo faster. later in the game you'll also come across brute variants of the plasma rifle they are red and they work on the same principle , more damage than the elite plasma rifles but they burn ammo quicker. great to dual weild
If you love a soundtrack I’d recommend doing a Halo 3 ODST play through. My favourite halo soundtrack!
I only just discovered you and started watching you play through the first halo. You are fantastic. Lol I hope you’ll learn to enjoy the first game on the old graphics. They’re better. The second game looks amazing either way.

You need the change the crosshair to the classic lowered position. It helps your camera look a bit higher and less at the ground. You're missing all the things happening up above.

Still watching the video.😃💜 Hint though, the Sentinels spawn from portals in the walls. They open up and turn white when activated, that's your que to fire inside it and destroy them. Thus stoping them from spawning more.👍They get very overwhelming on harder difficulties if not dispatched.
Never noticed how Brutes kunda resemble Uruk Hai from LOTR
The elite in the white armor is the only elite with green eyes. You can see them better in the original graphics.
Before seeing anything, You should really try dual-wielding Needlers in this game. They have better target seeking and if you eat through the shields the enemy explodes... or if you hit an unshielded with like 10-15 shots.
39:20 You should've given the shotgun to one of your allies cause they get infinite ammo.
13:55 the biggest mistake the covenant made 😅
The shottie is the primo flood eradicating tool for sure. They were also dropping assault rifles, which you might have preferred to the SMG. Human weapons seem to be more effective vs flood in general and covy weapons are better vs sentinels, if you want to kill the sentinels. They are often more helpful than harmful. I think it's common to forget you have stealth by the time you come around to this mission. Also, you may think it was a mission specific thing that first time, but he does have it all the time, which is pretty cool.
@@DavidSmith-mt7tb no assault rifles in Halo 2, only SMG and BR. Dual plasma rifles is not to slept on for flood clearance

This is EXACTLY why (imo) rocket launchers should almost never be "saved" in Halo. Step 1: Grab. Step 2: Make big booms of joy. Step 3: Find a new weapon.
Just a quick tip: plasma weapons (usually covenant ) destroy shields way quicker and easier than kinetic weapons (human weapons that use bullets or like explosives or whatever) that’s why it’s way harder to kill flood with plasma weapons because they don’t have shields so they take less damage with plasma but if you use kinetic it’s a lot easier to kill them
TLDR: plasma for shields, kinetic for normal body armour or non shield enemies
I keep thinking the Prophet of Truth (top heirarch) was voiced by John Hurt (ALIEN, Elephant Man, 1984, Harry Potter Garrick Ollivander, V Vendetta) But its some other guy.
OMG, if you’re going to HaloWC then you should totally meet up with HiddenXperia. He is perhaps one of the most famous Halo channels that focus game, book and content lore in Halo.

This and the arbiter missions before, how on earth are you getting the grunts to survive for so long? For me they always die off first
You're playing on Normal and just waltzing through the game. It's really more fun on Hard when the fights are a challenge.

I am very late with this comment, but when you play the next level (if you haven't already) do not look at the loading screen and watch the next cutscene immediately afterwards.
Don't know why 343 put a major spoiler into a loading screen... Many many times. Just don't get it. They did so much stupid stuff with the MCC
