Love your videos, Thank You for Sharing !! I've hunted elk for 35+ years and have snuck in on hundreds of elk. One tip I have for you, is that when you have bulls popping off, do not call, be aggressive and go in on them, always watching the wind and get inside their circle. Do this on public land, if you're on Private you can call, but my experience on public, calling will tell them exactly where you are, and usually they'll round up the cows and head off, or the lead cow will take the herd away from the calls. Also if you're in good enough shape, when they bust, run with them, usually unless in wolf country they will run from 200 to 600 yards, stop and regroup, being really loud, easy to sneak in on.

I had a great time hunting near Big Timber Montana for archery mule deer and elk. We were hunting the Crazy mountains. I shot a huge mule deer 26 inches wide 4X4 but no elk. They seem to bed high and come down to feed. The funniest thing was the hundreds of whitetails we saw that week. Another great video again.

you should put some soft velcro on your drop away arrow rest so it doesn’t make that grinding sound as you draw or release it… trust me, put some soft velcro tape on it and you’ll see the difference…it’ll make a lot of difference you won’t spook your quarries you’re after!?!

I really wonder why you guys didn’t bugle any? I’ve shot two elk in two years that I hunted them and every time I closed the distance on them I did a growing bugle and they get fired up!!

One thing that definitely took me awhile to Understand about hunting was, You dont NEED to always Harvest/kill somthing. Its okay to just have nothing.

I've been hunting for 30 years & have only taken (3) whitetail deer & dozens of grouse...... How many deer/bear have I just let walk past me and enjoyed being there without them knowing it - Hundreds !!!!!
If you take it too serious - it's not fun..... Have fun

hey samong, awesome that you’re from washington also, big fan. was wondering how you’re able to determine if its a herd bull or a satellite bull from the bugling? im guessing its something with the sound. thanks!

There's water there... and the elk are hitting it daily, that is a good reliable start to finding elk. You guys really need radios when your separated, use one ear bud and press to talk, so you can still press an attack when you're not within sight. Carry a filter that will let you drink right from the stream and another to filter a bag full later.
