    I found a flaw in your video…. It was too short, I could watch this type of hunting videos for hours you are a perfect example of a primitive hunter.
    Absolutely amazing.

    Well....I thought I was an elk hunter. Until I watched this. I am impressed, young fella. I'm 58 years old, and I've been fortunate enough to take about 38 bulls in my life. I've had some "hard" hunts, but none of them compare to this. You have guts and courage that is uncommon in our day. Well done.

    What a great video. Your happiness once you harvest that animal had a huge smile on my face. Now time to watch this with my boys. Appreciate this film.

    Looks like another awesome adventure. I’ve always loved listening to you sharing your thoughts from a perspective that I believe needs to be heard. I think it is much easier to know where we’re going if we remember where we came from and why we’re here today.
    Your work on this film is awesome and the way you told the story and talked about the struggle of those before us was very thought provoking. I thought you did a great job and can’t wait to see your next one.

    This is the best thing I've seen in ages. Brother, I commend you on your virtuous endeavor. I literally shouted out loud with joy and shared in your happiness when you arrowed that bull. As a high country bow hunter myself, I am overwhelmed with emotion knowing what that feels like to have all your hard work be rewarded. God bless

    You're hardcore, Cade! Awesome adventure. I really enjoyed your perspective and taking it back to traditional methods. I'm glad you used some modern technology so I could watch the video and not have to rely on cave paintings to relive your adventure. I love the quote towards the end "to know cold, without warmth". How far did your shot end up being? I noticed you had an extra horse that didn't pack any weight out, is the point to bring them along to train them? How far in did you go this time?

    • @CadeCole_Roadhouse
      @CadeCole_Roadhouse  2 дні тому

      Great question! The original plan was just to bareback one and pack another; that’s all I really needed. I brought the third because those three are the original trio we had before starting to build our herd so I could work for myself. Meaningful for our family to have the girls represented, but not necessary for the hunt.

      49# @28” shooting Easton Carbon Legacy 400 spine arrows cut to 27.5” with 75 grain inserts. 120 grain Montec G5 broadheads. I was super happy with performance. Broadhead came out the other side and broke off when he rolled. He ran about 300 yards down the mountain

    NEXT LEVEL AWESOME! Wow man, this was such a cool video. I loved every minute! I've spent many of my youthful days hunting in the spirit of our traditional ways and felt in awe in wonder of the men and women that came before us. The majority of the world has evolved around living in comfort and the traditional ways of hunting are a thing of the past. Mad props and respect brotha for what you've done in this video. Absolutely amazing! You've gotta make some Pemican for the next adventure!! Likes and subscribed!
    God Bless!

    Now that was some work! Question though: Videos can be misleading, but those packs didn't look all that full for a full load of bull elk. Did you just take the quarters or was that just your first load?

    WTF ? So I always jump ahead cause all you YTers want to talk and show your face. Then I find you blowing on a puff ball for a couple minutes to get a fire going? That’s entertaining. Then you sucking water out of a creek instead of just using a cup.
    Yeah great shit Maynard

    The world's hardest elk hunt😂. Guy rides one horse in and ponys two??? What's the point?? Why didn't you walk in and go naked? Stupid video for anyone who actually hunts elk in the backcountry. Should have hunted with a sharp stick if you wanted it to be hard.
