I love this! I've done a handful of color mixing charts, but I've never thought to do a glazing chart. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks donuts when we're talking about glazing. 😁😋
Glad it was helpful! It's also useful for me to remind myself in these sessions. Keep watching this week as we've got some follow up lessons coming tomorrow and friday
Another great tutorial Harriet - Thank you! Really enjoying the recent tutorials on color mixing (hydrangea) and shadow (Greek Villa) and now this one on glazing - you are helping me elevate my painting practice :). Love the raw sienna & prussian blue square on your chart!
Thanks for the free download! FYI if you are trying to figure out how to download it, open the tab on the right of your screen, add it to your cart and complete the address information, then complete your “purchase.” And, though there is no cost, you will need to “buy it” in the store Harriet has linked!
@@deWintonPaperCoI spent a few solid minutes tapping my screen looking for the “download” link. I figured out I had to get it through your shop, so I thought I’d save others some time! lol!😂
Question: can you wet the surface to be glazed(first color) with water and then add the glazing color? Also, can you add more than one layer of glaze? Finally, would you mind sharing the name of the content creator as I am unable to understand her name? I’m sorry for so many questions. This was a fabulous tutorial. Thank you for it and for the chart.
Hi! In one of your videos you said the best c😅nvenient green in a palette is sap. Why is sap superior to Hooker’s? Or phthalo green? How do you make sap achieve darker values? Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Glad it was helpful! I still want a donut!
Thank you Harriet. I thought I understood glazing but clearly not. You have made everything very clear.

Very interesting! Would they look different if you changed the order of the glazing? 🤔
Yes quite possibly. Hopefully you can just use the chart over and over again to see what you get
Question - opaque colors over transparent ones? Does that matter? Thanks!!
Glazing is always a diluted colour on top

I’m Harriet! Glazing has to be done on a dry surface
😢. I filled out the form but the glazing worksheet refuses to download. Thanks for the idea. I’ll just make my own
Sounds like a good plan
