Seconding the Indanthrene (or Indanthrone, depending on the brand) blue. That just screams PB 60, especially in the wash. One of my favorite blue pigments.
This was interesting, especially to hear that you’re using Cass Art paint amongst the Winsor and Newton and Daniel Smiths. We have a branch here in Bristol where I live, and I’ll be paying them a visit soon.
Hello I found your videos by way of your advent calendar. I've been binge watching your videos throughout the holidays. I so love your style of watercolor painting. Till your next video bye.
Thank you for sharing your 2024 watercolor pallet setup. I just started purchasing my colors which are very similar. Having watched your beginner series on mixing I'm trying to learn mixing my colors and not get overwhelmed. Daniel Smith and Dealer Rowney have been my choice. I'm very pleased with what I've learned from your tutorials. So Thank You and Happy New Year. 👍 👍
Love your fresh pallet! Others have chimed in on the mystery color and I agree with those that say Indigo. I have that color and love it! Happy New Year! I’m so looking forward to my painting time with you in 2024!
Thank you Harriet for the tutorial, the unidentified looks a bit like Indigo, my palette has the same one . Looking forward to new ideas from you and love your new painting room x
Thanks for showing your palate for 2924! Spurs me on to redo mine! Will seek out Mayan blue genuine, Daniel Smith! I need to try some new colors, brands. I learned on Winsor Newton paints and love them! But I’m ready to try others that I’ve heard about! So it’s off to the Art Store, my adult toy store! Thanks and Happy 2024 painting and discovery! Happy new year to you and your family. Starting off with a new studio must be so exciting! I think I might try some Cass Art paint. Thanks for all your brilliant videos.
Thanks Harriet 🌹🙏 happy New year & Best creative wishes 💐🥂 Maybe your mystery color could be an Indigo, formulated by Indanthrene Blue + Black is some brands. Wish all Love❤
I'm a rank beginner in any kind of Art mediums but watercolor is the first up on the schedule😂. I love your manner and ability to teach in your videos. So incredibly glad I found you!
Congrats on your new studio Harriet!❤ I treated myself for Christmas and I got two of your books and some Winsor & Newton professional watercolour pans🎉 I’m the happiest human in the planet 😂 I wanted to share with you a new colour I think you’d love, Perylene Green - it is a dark, cold green, perfect for dark leaves like roses’ or dandelions’. I started using it as a replacement of your usual dark green leaf mix of sap green and Payne’s grey, and I really like it! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about it if you’ve ever tried it? Thanks for your tutorials, and have a lovely 2024! Flo xx
Could that mystery blue be an indigo? It looks dark enough. I started painting with Grumbacher's Academy watercolors, so I have a soft spot for them, but I seem to have become addicted to my Schmincke paints. I'd like to get a few of the Daniel Smith Primatek colors too. I'll look forward to seeing more of that Mayan Blue in the future! Happy New Year, Harriet! And congratulations on the new studio! 💖
Congratulations on the new studio. Question: when your palette is full, and it obviously is, and a new color comes along you want to use, what do you do?
Love all the colors. I’ve wanted to put tube paints in a palette. I want to keep integrity of paints with palettes of brand names together and possibly get a book I found on Amazon keeping track of colors… I didn’t see how you knew what colors you have in the pans. Did you write them down anywhere? 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
Harriett I am inexperienced and am struggling with the Names of the pigments vs the numbers. It really makes me nervous . I have s pallet of E & N Cotman, Meedens, and a set that looks like it came from a grade school class. The W & N I do ok with because they use the names which I am more familiar with. I know this is s dumb question but is there a smoother way to coordinate names and numbers? Am I the only one having a problem? Thanks dear lady. You are amazing. Happy New Year from Tennessee, USA
I know you switched the Scarlet Lake for Daniel Smith Pyrrol Red. Which blue did you switch for Daniel Smith Sap Green deep? Also, for the Cass Art Burnt Sienna, what other brand would be comparable? We don't have Cass Art here in Tennessee
Prussian blue? I checked it against indanthrone and indigo as wel l Interesting how different manufacturers make the same colours which look quite different eg DS and WN indigo. completely different colours
A nice range of colours and brands, but... it's so much easier to follow AND appreciate the colours if you were to write the colour name and brand in a dark pen before you swash. Scrolling back between your descriptive list and the video is a pain. I think your mystery colour is indigo. Not indanthrene as that is much warmer. Happy painting in '24
The mystery color appears to be indigo. One of my favorite
Perhaps the mystery colour is Indanthrene Blue? Or maybe Indigo? I absolutely love palette videos!
Seconding the Indanthrene (or Indanthrone, depending on the brand) blue. That just screams PB 60, especially in the wash. One of my favorite blue pigments.
That's what I thought as well.
😮 thank you! I think I have to get a tube. What a gorgeous navy blue pigment!
Yeah, looks like Indigo to me.
If my screen is not messing up the colors completely, it is Indigo from W&N😊
The mystery looks like indigo
Yes, I’m in agreement. It might be indigo. Happy New Year 🎉
Happy new year!!

Happy new year!!
I have W &N Cotman Indigo right now and it looks exactly like your mystery color. My guess is you picked up the professional Windsor & Newton Indigo.
Happy new year Harriet
Happy new year!!
Happy New Year! Great idea to start the new year.
Happy new year!
Congratulations on the new studio!!
Thank you!!
these colours are so gorgeous! lovely to see you've chosen some brands that are easy to buy in the uk 😊
Glad you like them!
Thanks Harriet 🌹🙏 happy New year & Best creative wishes 💐🥂 Maybe your mystery color could be an Indigo, formulated by Indanthrene Blue + Black is some brands. Wish all Love❤
Happy New Year of watercolour painting! My guess is Indigo for the mystery colour. 🤔
Happy new year!

Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video! Always enjoy watching palette/swatches. I'm wondering if your mystery colour is Indigo?
It kind of looks like my Indigo!
I think so!
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
You're so welcome
I think your mystery color might be Indigo. It’s one of my favorites. Love your tutorials. Happy New Year!
I think so too!
Thanks
No problem
Your mystery blue looks like it could be indandthrene blue? It's lovely to see all the colours swatched out like that. Happy 2024!
Quite possibly, a lot of people think so too!
Congrats on your new studio Harriet!❤

Ooh Florencia! I'm thinking about a new green as I can't find daler rowney sap green anywhere. Thanks for the tip I will look it up!

Happy New Year, Harriet! And congratulations on the new studio! 💖
Yes it's very likely!
Happy new year! The mysterious color is maybe indigo? ;) (I hope you'll find it)
Happy new year!
Hello - can you tell me where to purchase the Artist Sap Green by Daler Rowney - It's not carried in Canada anywhere or in the US that I can see.
Try cass art or Jackson’s art online
Congratulations on the new studio. Question: when your palette is full, and it obviously is, and a new color comes along you want to use, what do you do?
I have a video on this in my watercolour painting for beginners playlist
@@deWintonPaperCo and I will be sure to check it out. Much thanks.
I think that the missing colour is Indanthrene Blue. Happy New Year! 🥂🌟
Ooh interesting!
Could your mystery color be Daniel Smith's Mayan Blue deep?
Love all the colors. I’ve wanted to put tube paints in a palette. Yes it’s in the description
oh wow i just heard you saying you buy from CASS, i should really wait to watch the whole video then comment lol
Could the mystery blue be a Prussian Blue? Love your new studio!
Oh...or Indigo?
I think Indigo is more likely than Prussian Blue

Winsor and Newton is always the brand I would recommend to substitute in with for Cass Art
Thank you. Which blue did you switch for the Deep Sap green?@@deWintonPaperCo
Thank you! I guess it's Indigo.... It is too dark for indanthrone blue, at least the one from Daniel smith
Prussian blue? I checked it against indanthrone and indigo as wel
l Interesting how different manufacturers make the same colours which look quite different eg DS and WN indigo. completely different colours
Interesting!
Hookers Green from DR, is that the Hookers Green Dark no. 2 or the one called Hookers Green Light no. 1? :)

Noted!
