Me too. I saw a Safety film at Us airways with a Pilot that was demo ing to Safety reps how he fell 30 ft out of a A380 door. He opened the door to show them, And fell Again. He retired.😂😂😂😂!!!

My wife is the Sr. Pres. where she works, but when she was in college, she worked as a flight attendant (F/T in the summer, P/T during non-summer peak periods, and casual/on-call during the the school year.). She has a friend who went “lifer”, despite also having a college degree.

Well, it's something all of us, not just her, had to do every year in recurrent training so if you don't have the stuff, you can't work there. You would also be expected to open the door in an emergency which is the reason we attended two days of recurrent every year

I was a flight attendant for American Airlines. She sits in her jumpsuit and opens and closes the door and that's it?? That is NOTHING! We us flight attendants do SO MUCH MORE than just that on our flights! Unfortunately, they make a TERRIBLE salary to live on, and many are broke and live on poverty level. Some have to get food stamps! Not unless you live with a husband who makes a great salary, OR you live with 4 or so other flight attendants. I left my childhood dream job with the largest airline in the world for this EXACT reason! Couldn't afford to live in San Francisco by myself. I had to have 4 roommates and our apartment was a revolving door! I also couldn't get transferred to another base that was cheaper to live in. SENIORITY f/a's get a scheduled and set schedules, which they bid on monthly. Junior f/a's are on "reserve, and rarely ever hold a line," meaning that they rarely have a set schedule. Senior f/a's who can hold a line can bid for a schedule where they get the cities that they want to fly to. At some bases, you can, or are able to get off reserve in a couple of years, but some wait 38 years to get a set schedule!!!! (such as Pheonix). In the year that I was able to even be selected to be interviewed, the AA CEO stated that there was at least 10,000 ladies who got selected and be interviewed, and they only chose 2,500 to go through a rigorous 6 weeks of training! I felt honored! I passed training and was SO EXCITED to fulfill my childhood dream!!! However, I had NO IDEA whatsoever about the poor pay, and the overwhelming stress I endured, having to make sure that I had to have at least 3 other young ladies to live with me in an apartment, otherwise I'd go broke and not be able to survive on my own! When I first got to San Fran after training, there were 4 of us! However, things changed, & roommates came & went. (Some people that live in a city closer to their base, use the apartment as just a place to sleep and stay while being on reserve. Their home isn't the apartment. I'm from Alabama, and my home is here, but I was based in San Fran, so then, my home WAS in that apartment and I had to stay there, because I couldn't just fly home during my month on reserve. So now that I've explained to you all what sacrifices that flight attendants make. So....being a flight attendant is more than just a pretty face, they are so much more!! ❤
And they cram too much button/screen information overload going on the dash, center stack area and people can't seem to buy a smart phone holder and gotta hold on to the phone while driving So it's time to up the seat belt safety level to a four point seat belts like this flight attendant has or like race cars have.

I think all cars should have seat belts exactly like that one she's using. That seat belt is Waaay safer than a 1 strap shoulder belt.
