I find your videos invaluable. I’m so impressed with the confidence to cut complex shapes on three dimensional glass and use the groziers. I use the grinder nearly 90% of the time and it takes forever.
I suspect I'll be grinding when I lead this project so maybe I'll get better at it!
A Pane in the Glass. You will survive, as long as you have your cutter on your side! Impressive as ever. James.
I'll have to try singing a bit of Gloria Gaynor next time I'm working ;-)
hi sophie! loving your videos! im an architecture student trying to get an insight into what a stained glass workshop looks like, the essentials they need and how the studio works, and your videos have been so lovely and helpful!!
Please to hear it!
Fantastic cutting , my heart was in my mouth when you were grozing off the pieces 😢love to see the finished window 😊
You and me both! I expect I'll be leading it in the next couple of weeks - slightly dreading it!!
Very impressive Sophie as always.
Thank you! 😊
Received your lovely book, great information. Thank You
Wonderful! Thanks :-)
Always enjoy watching your videos cheers would love to see the end result of these Windows
Coming soon!
Very nicely done 😊
I feel your pain…
😄 Thanks!!
Very good!
Thanks!
Very Good!!
Thanks!
Beautiful. I know you will do it❤❤❤❤
Thank you :-)
I hope we get to see the finished piece.
It may take a while bit I'll do a video of me leading it. I'd like to show how little impact the wiggles have once leaded.
Very nice video. I thought you did really well with that piece. I am always amazed at how fast you work. Thank you for showing the bigger picture with all the glass in place. I too would like to see the final panel. What kind of a person provides only one piece of glass for each piece in the panel? Is it some kind of test? I too would be very tense! Today's tools, like a ring saw, can help cut all types of shapes, even the once near impossible "keyhole", but you seem to be doing really well without any of that. Did you end up grinding anything?
'What kind of person?"....an 'optimist' would be the answer I guess!! No grinding so far but may be needed when I'm leading up. Yes ring saws in the right hands are impressive. I will show me leading this piece as I'd like to demonstrate how little impact the wiggles have once leaded.
So interesting to see all the cuts and subsequent breaks. We’re they on the front side Of the glass?
On the smooth side.
Would tapping on some of the more precarious pieces help the cuts or does the texture of the glass prevent tapping from being effective?
Yes tapping works on all types of glass but it's a bit brutal for some shapes - and actually, because I only had one piece of glass from which to cut each piece, I was probably being more cautious than usual.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
thanks!!
How on earth are you going to lead that😳
Heaven only knows!!
