      I hate to say it but Jared is really wise but also an asshole he practically sacrified his fanbase from the start and they got more posers than ever. And I'll tell you what if they continued with this sound yeah they'd probably be an underground band but more respectful as well for sure.

    man, I miss the old 30STM so much... These new bandwagon "fans" that just started listening to them don't even know the real Mars, this is the way they used to be. And I am not surprised seeing so many people that just got to hear their old stuff and got surprised how much they have changed. This is the real 30STM, the band that I fell in love with their music. I have been their fan for about 10 years now, and I miss the old Mars so much. This music, this style, this hardcore, this energy. Not saying that I don't like their new stuff, but the new album is shit comparing to the first 2... I wish they come back to their hardcore style again.

      Yeah, but it's a good thing that they left great footage to enjoy right? Almost every band changes their way of making music, even though some of us don't want them to. It's inevitable, but thanks to the Internet we can look back at how they began and changed our lives.
      The greatest thing is: There are always new bands surfacing with music that you might like, try to focus on that as well (^_^(

      @alejandraballestasmedina2410 10 років тому +3

      Rashid Mammedli if they love what they do. if they rather explore different kind of experiences and music, just let them be. I know nothing compares to songs like The Kill or From Yesterday or Capricorn or Attack, and the band knows it. But I think they started to focus on topics that are more important like following your dreams, and they started like inclouding the Echelon on This is War because they had a really hard time and their fans were always suporting them. That's why they always say that the echelon are like family. And the band says that if they can make their dreams possible and they can fight, people that believe in them like the echelon can do it to, and succeed. I think they are focusing on that right now. I really know how you feel, i love from yesterday and i fell in love with them with that song (and the kill), but i kinda understand them and i will always support them.

    • @pikachuthedog
      @pikachuthedog 10 років тому +3

      So is it important and is it a shame that we are listening to 30STM later than you? A lot of people was very young when the band arised and I do not think that they may had any chance to like them, especially when Rihanna and the others also arised, just saying. Changes are good and also the music changes, but I think it is good. Tomo said that they could not wear old clothes and he has meant they do not want to play old songs, because they have changed and they know that they have changed in the right way. It is my opinion, peace.

    When I discovered 30STM I first listened to the A Beautiful Lie album and I thought to myself- "If only they had more heavier stuff than this and there new albums." Little did I know that they had an even earlier album and to my happy surprise I found the 30STM that I really wanted to hear! Kuddos to them for having stuff like this, but its too bad they don't make new stuff this heavy anymore.

    I love their older work. It had some grunge to it but make it there own. Their later music is still amazing (not to mention their brilliant imagery to all their music videos). I think they just want to try to evolve into something different each album so they won't sound redundant. I for one, am always going to love their first album the most! But it's pretty much like that for all artists, right? But I will always be a fan no matter what they come out with.

    As I've said before on these boards, I am just getting into these guys. It's been like 2 months I think and I have to say, they are phenomenal!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! The more I go back into the first of their albums, the more I love. The singing, the beats, the music. This song completely stirs me inside. They are horribly underrated even though it has gotten better, they are still underrated to me and they are truly an amazing band. I like everything I hear out of them so far. From this to "Up in the Air" is just all good.

    This song gives me goosebumps to this day and I have been listening to it since I was 5 or 6.... this whole album is amazing. I remember being in my mum's car, flicking through all her music on her mp3 player until I found songs from this album like Buddha for Mary. I just learn to love every beat and lyric more with every repeat. It is timeless to me. This album and A Beautiful Lie hold so much meaning to me and have helped me through some of my lowest points. Do or Die and Closer to the Edge have inspired me to do better and be better but still be me. I honestly don't know where I would be without you guys. Thank you to Jupiter and back. I know you may never read this but I felt I needed to say it all the same.
