There are so many people involved in this project then each of those people are involved in 1or more other projects that easy communication is impossible. Everyone has a different opinion on how the play should be and what the person before them said that there is no "bad guy". Love how nuanced and honest this show is.

I've said this in other channels, and some people agreed and some didn't.
Tbh i can see both sides in this. She's being an introverted (which is kinda hard believing she is, but she is LOL), she doesn't know how to deal with people, so she comes off as the "villain" here, but on the other hand, they both SHOULD talk to each other, not passing the message through all those people. You see how DIFFERENT it was the message that reached him and what sensei actually said? Like, what is this LMAO
And the sad thing is that it's not even his fault actually...he's just following what he thinks she is ordering.
On the other hand, i agree with her, and THIS HERE is exactly what hundreds of marvel and dc fans don't get: IT'S OK TO CHANGE AND ADAPT THE STORY. I'm not going to watch a series or a movie thinking it'll be the exact same thing....but DON'T YOU DARE CHANGING THE CHARACTERS. The characters are the most important thing, being in visuals and their character/morals/behaviors. If you change that, then it's almost a failure imo. See how the Thor from the MCU is.....man is a complete clown....simply disgusting for people who read the comics.
But anyway....let's see how all this is gonna wrap up. Sensei.....she is a weirdo, but i love her character 😂

She's right to be mad but took it out on the wrong people. The producer and editor that were sitting with her changed the message more than anyone and hardly a word was said to them. I imagine because she writes weekly manga not a 2 hour stage play. Hopefully she sees the process and reconciles with the screen writer.

I personally like how they go through this part of the story.
You can clearly see each person's difficulty and frustration, and you can tell it's not one specific person's fault and you genuinely feel bad for each person.
Let's see how Aqua will fix this (how is an actor going to communicate directly with a source material author?)

I think this arc will present a nice nuanced perspective of what it means to adapt a story into a different medium. (Which is probably even a good thing for discussions of rl anime adaptations and so on).
I totally emphasize with the author (well also everyone else, but I'm just focusing this comment on her perspective).
Given that she criticized things and then the revisions made it even worse (in her view), the frustrations must be pretty big.
Honestly the one objectively stupid thing in that situation is that communication flow. How come no one ever said "It seems we are talking past each other, we (author and scriptwriter) should talk personally".
I mean did the author ever even get feedback on her feedback? The writer had that great explanation for Akane last episode on why that one change was made, but were things like that ever explained to the author?
Seems like everyone had that "sure I'll pass that along" attitude towards her, but it never resulted in the changes she meant. And now the author has the feeling her requests are getting ignored but the scriptwriter thinks he takes all of them into account...

She wasn't right to be mad when she took it on the wrong person.
Take it on the right person.
Or not be mad at all.
    Just be indifferent.

I perosnally feel this wouldn't have been an issue if the script writer talked directly to the manga author to begin with. Hearing inpute from both sides would've smoothed things out, instead of it ending up making the scriptwriter look incompetent when he was just given bad massages to work with

Nier is a good anime to show a Adaption of a open World game to a straight forward anime
