When I saw him previously I never felt like I am attracted to him (totally not my type) but after this episode and seeing him openning up emotionally bring some attraction. Hearing Bradley speak about his father, and the perspective that it is really hard to do, no matter what time passes, and how both Hila and Ethan allowed him his time to gather himself and just to talk about the person he lost was so good to see. It's frustrating how many people, especially in the alpha male and gym bro circles, dismiss medication or people who are medicated for mental health. My depression was so bad that I struggled to get out of my house, hell, even get out of bed. I was in physical pain. I tried so hard to not be depressed with diet, excercise, and hobbies. I got tired, gave up, and finally got prescribed antidepressants as a last effort. I don't want to kms anymore. I go out and have the energy to do things. I don't physically hurt all the time and I am able to do all the basic life things that people need to do. I think I can say that medication saved my life.

If you could take one pill and it could change your life in certain aspects without you being dependant on it no one would bat an eye. I was getting some persistent rashes, but I didn't think much of it cuz I tend to get spring/summer rashes. Started up the full adult dose and within a day broke out in terrible systematic rashes-- I'm fkn allergic. Stopped cold turkey according to doctor. I definitely had some mental health relapse and felt weird for a while, but it's not like I'm immediately trying to bathe with a bathtub. It's more like a feeling of "danm, how did I get used to feeling like this all the time". I know that I'm going to be ok, and I will be trying new medicine soon. It's a struggle to find the right fit, but I know it's worth it so I keep trying. Idk that's just my experience

I really love the way Ethan stood up for anti depressants and medication for mental health in general. Bradley kept pushing back a lot, and I think he doesn't realize that everything he brought up is something people with mental health issues hear constantly. "Just exercise, eat better, make sure you have all your vitamins, focus on the positive, meditate, etc. etc." But this just comes from people with different experiences. Yes that stuff is good for you, but sometimes that's not enough. And it can also be pretty impossible to take care of yourself well when just getting out of bed basically exhausts you. It's like telling someone with a broken leg to just do stretches and exercises and eat well.
I had a very similar experience as Ethan, checked everything out and physically I was fine, and I even went to therapy, but it wasn't until I finally tried medication that I was able to take a hold of my life. It was such a huge difference that I felt so sorry for my past self, she was walking around with an anchor tied to her leg.

Beautifully said! And very similar experience for me too. I was only able to start a fitness routine and health journey after being on meds and in therapy for at least 6 months. It just doesn't make sense to even try to do anything remotely good for yourself and your life, when you are questioning what the point of living even is! It's dark but true and exactly where I was at this time last year. Cut to now, I'm 30 lbs lighter and hopeful again. That is everything.

This episode was GREAT. Bradly was so sweet, Ethan was as well, the maturity level is inspiring, Hila’s makeup is SLAY and she’s sweet as always, I’m just vibing and loving the positivity while still being fun and silly. Also as everyone mentioned, Bradly’s vulnerability about his father and the emotions he has experienced and still experiences was so touching. I too lost my father in January 2020 to suicide (he made the choice to stop taking his medication) so I understand to an extent, but not what it was like for him losing his dad at 6 years old. I empathize with him and am proud of him for being able to be vulnerable. I’m proud of him for learning the skills to deal with those emotions in productive and healthy ways. Good to see Ethan empathize as well, from the father prospective, because I too understand that as well with my four year old son. I just loved this, the bonding, the “beef squashing”, the maturity, the positivity, just YES.

I also lost my dad as a kid, not from the same exact thing, but he didn't take care of himself and he wasn't present so I suffered through a lot of similar feelings of abandonment as well as a debilitating fear of death. The first time I dropped acid, it was like I'd spent my whole life looking away from myself. Ignoring myself and my feelings, and for the first time I could see me and what I was doing to myself. It literally changed my life and it gave me such a new lease on spirituality and life and death. I'd do anything to experience that first trip again. Thanks for sharing, Bradley!
